Been traveling all over the U.S. Been a loyal customer of Denny’s for over (40) years… I’ve seen some funny and shady things in the restaurant industry, but never seen anything like this. This “BALDWIN PARK” location is an easy access to the Interstate #10 freeway, located inside a strip mall, with Home Depot and Walmart’s walking distance… Victor, the GENERAL MANAGER had some argument during the first week of January, 2023 with one of his customers.
While some customer behind me started explaining to the G.M. how disgusting his food was by having a human hair inside his wives eggs.
The family was Hispanic older couple, a husband and wife.
The older female customer was very disappointed together with her husband, and without any warning, one word lead to another, Victor (Denny’s General Manager)advised the older couple, if they don’t like it to go somewhere else. Towards the end, VICTOR (G.M.) — older man, shaved head, who was a MIDDLE EASTERN descent told the couple that hair wasn’t his kitchen cooks, but instead of re-cooking the situation, VICTOR said ALL MEXICANS LOVE TO EAT FOR FREE.
I personally am an Asian background, and I was in a disbelief and I was in shock.
This man Victor DESERVES an academy award 🏆 🏆 🏆 and should be reported to the ACLU.
I turned around and asked him why did he say that discrimination/racial remark, and he replied, because he’s tired of supplying FREE FOOD to those kind of customers.
Unethical, Unprofessional and a VERY NASTY environment.
Victor? You...
Read moreI sometimes wonder how any restaurant, particularly this 24-hour Denny's, can get away with the type of service provided, or rather "non-service" and expect any reasonably respectful response, whether it be here in writing, or in person, but I'll be the best person I can be to respectfully submit this experience"share". Walking in at about the Witching Hour, I was greeted by an older woman server who immediately led me to a table that was not wiped down, and when I pointed it out she apologized and directed me to the next table. I never saw her again. About 20 mins later, a young, 20-something young woman server finally appeared at my table to bring me menu, etc., at the time I asked for decaf and let her know I would need to see menu first. "Decaf" showed up shortly afterwards but beyond that, not a single wait staff person returned until about 40 mins later. She asked me if I wanted to order anything off the menu and I told her that after being ignored this whole time to just bring me the check. Her eyes widened in response and dutifully went to cashier area,, and as I was about to pay, she said not to worry about the check since all I had was "coffee". I said "thank you" and left. I'm hoping this poor experience was an anomaly. If I EVER decide to return to this particular location, I sure hope it's ONLY when it's an emergency situation for some safely prepared fried comfort foods after a night out on the town... C'mon Denny's...a free cup of coffee is not the...
Read moreI ordered an egg white omelet, no cheese, red onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and Turkey sausage. I never found not 1 mushroom! The 3 small pieces of bell pepper, and one piece of red onion they did give me felt like it just killed them to part with that. They gave me what looked like Ham, that they must of found way, way back in the freezer. Who knows,, Maybe the thought it was a better alternative then the Turkey sausage I had ordered. What do I know anyway! I'm eating at Denny's after all. The one thing they did get right was the no cheese part, which was a shocker! Because that's the one thing these types of places never get right.
T.M.I maybe, but the parting gift was the race to the bath room from the parking lot of the bank!! Thank God the banks only like 5 minutes from my house! I almost made it 🤯 : (
Just to be clear, before this, I had no beef with Denny's. It was my favorite place to dine n dash as a kid!! Hey! Maybe that's it. Maybe the Cook from 1975 recognized me, and seen his chance for revenge! Revenge for all those chocolate milk shakes lost..
Seriously though, everyone I knew growing up always talked bad about Denny's. Frankly, I never thought it was all that bad. But I'm sorry to say, I now see what I guess, they knew...
