Tokyo Express Sushi — Restaurant in Baldwin Park

It was nice no wait. Service was fast, super fast. It was nice that it was not packed but people kept coming in to pick up orders. So don’t sit by the door all the cold wind kept coming in. I brought my daughter that is almost 2 they went above and beyond to make the experience great. The server brought my the high chair as soon as he seen us walk and seen him clean it even if it already looked clean. They brought me plastic spoons and small plates for me to us for my daughter. It was prefect and we really enjoyed our dinner. Not being rushed, great service and calm environment. I was a lot cheaper than than Sushiholics and we got way more food! We actually stop there before heading over here 45 minute weights, and they had about four tables with no one seated at them. Total spent $66

I am not knocking the food at all. The food is always amazing here BUT the service is horrible. I waited 30 minutes for an order and in those 30 minutes I witnessed 2 customers coming back with orders that were either missing or incomplete and the 6 customers that were present in the restaurant waiting for or eating their food each left dissatisfied and very frustrated. The cashier present was the worst and I was being very patient. I watched her mix up orders and receipts while neglecting to give the customer drinks and other items. I have worked in food before and have been a long time loyal customer here. To say I was astonished by the horrendous service and by how unorganized they were is saying something. Loved the food and service. It was so good I didn't think to take pics. They started us out with some edamame. I ordered the pork miso ramen and the sushi combo 9 piece. Note: the sushi combo comes with salad and a miso soup. So I had to take most of my ramen to go. My friend ordered a California roll and the chicken fried rice. She had so much rice to take home. Which worked out bc we sat there for over FOUR HOURS! We were catching up after a few months apart. They never rushed us out and must have brought the check out sometime after 3 hours.
