A Little Hi - by Hi-Pointe Drive-In — Restaurant in Ballwin

This was my second visit, the first time was a 3 star when the place empty. This time with others in the restaurant, it's a one.

The kid (white kid, green weed shirt some sort of homage to Busch, but Cannabis) working the register was out of his mind high. My wife asked for cheese and he said they didn't have it... She then asked for cheddar and apparently they had cheese. I asked for an iced tea, and he said they didn't have it either as I am looking at the Ice Tea Machine as well as bottles of it in front of me I ask if the Tea machine was out or something and he told me they didn't have a tea machine. I asked for a soda cup... The tea machine was full of tea...

He later brought us out someone else's food and I had to work really hard to explain to him that it wasn't our food and we didn't order the food he brought.

I get that the restaurant is weed friendly and I'm not upset about that but I at least expect to be waited on by someone in this dimension. Thankfully as far as I could tell he wasn't handling any thing in the kitchen, just the register, so he wasn't a danger to himself, but he easily...

I was actually really surprised at how much I liked the burger I got, (the double) and my son was totally stoked on the Taco Burger. I'm gonna bring my vegan friend for the impossible burger, but get it for her as a wrap. The ingredients were fresh and generous, the meat tasted great, cooked to perfection and crisp at the edges, the bun was quality, and the strawberry shake was great! The shakes were pricey, but it's just a treat anyway so that reasonable. The burgers, however, were not much above McDs when it came to price point; I'd have payed nearly as much for a double quarter pounder with less toppings and lower quality all around, and I liked them better than 5 guys, which are more expensive. Comparable to smash burger is price, but with slightly better quality meat, and way better buns, smaller shakes, but yummier. Which, come to think of it, is proba ly better for my health long term! Hands down, one of the BEST burger spots I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling patties.

I ordered the signature "Arch D-Lux” and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! The patties were cooked to perfection - juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The toppings were fresh and abundant, and that sauce was incredible.

The food was top-notch, but what really sets this place apart is the staff. They're friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about serving up amazing food. My server went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and even threw in some awesome recommendations.

I'm not even kidding when I say this burger spot has ruined me for all other burgers. I'll be dreaming about that Arch D-Lux until I can get back for another fix!
