I was really rooting to give this place a 5, but unfortunately due to the experience I had to give it a 3. My husband wanted to rate it a 2, but I know how important reviews are to businesses and this restaurant had a lot of great qualities.
The experience started out great. The restaurant (Des Peres location) has a nice vibe, great decorations, and the staff is really friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately. My husband ordered their Bourbon Steak Sirloin (medium) and a diet coke and I ordered their Budweiser Beer Cheese + Bacon Mac 'n Cheese (Homemade Mac and Cheese Topped with Panko Bread Crumbs, Bud Signature Beer Cheese, and Crisp Bacon) and a stout. The food came out quickly. I started eating my mac 'n cheese and it was delicious. My husband said his steak was extremely overcooked. I didn't believe him so I tried the steak and sure enough, it was super dry and very well done (definitely not medium). After having a few bites of my mac n cheese, I uncovered a huge thing of blue stained chunks in the mac 'n cheese the looked like mold. It freaked me out and I immediately lost my appetite. I stopped eating it and asked my server if it was in fact mold. He said he thought it was blue cheese (which was weird because it wasn't supposed to be in it), but said he'd bring over the manager.
The manager came over and was very nice. He said it was in fact blue cheese. Though there was not supposed to be blue cheese in it he said that it must have accidentally fallen in. This left me to think... what else could have fallen in? What does their kitchen look like? He then said that he would not charge us for the mac 'n cheese and offered us a free dessert. My husband and I's appetites were both gone at that point so we declined. However, I think the manager handled the situation well.
Overall, because of that experience we probably won't be back. I appreciate it that the mac n cheese was taken off the bill, but I am still freaked out about the whole thing. I get that it turned out to be blue cheese, but if you found something blue in your food that looked like mold... wouldn't you be freaked out too?
Hopefully others have a better experience. I honestly hope that this restaurant does well and hope that what happened to my husband and I was just a fluke.

The service from the waitress was good she was friendly and came by to check on us periodically. Our food was not the best and I had a bad first day experience with my dish. I got the fish plate with Mac n cheese, my fish was burnt and was not seasoned at all. It was like they just threw my fish in batter and just fried it and forgot about it so I didn’t eat it, I took the Cheetos out of my Mac n cheese and ate my Mac n cheese but my waitress took my Mac n cheese before I could finish my Mac n cheese I have to take my time eating she didn’t ask if I was done she just took it. My coworker got a burger and her burger was not cooked fully after she asked for well done. They did take her burger off the bill I should’ve had them take my fish plate off the bill because it was burnt the only thing that was truly good was corn fritters and hush puppies. But I gave my plate to my friend after she sent her burger back. The cold slaw was nothing but mayonnaise no flavor. It’s like they don’t use seasoning at this restaurant everything was so bland, where is the love? Where is the seasoning? Where is the flavor? They definitely lack a lot of flavor I’m not sure if I just came on a bad busy night but I was very disappointed with my food. Oh yea I got spinach dip for an appetizer and it was so small and stuck together the corners were burnt I ate it that didnt have flavor as well just a lil spice from the red chili flakes on top, I expected it to be more creamy and cheesy that was a gunk of mess.. I visited Circle 7 Ranch to place an order/pick up for Postmates. I let the hostess know that I needed to place an order for carry out. She gave me an incredibly rude look up and down and said "Yeah, you'll have to go to the end of the bar to do that." I asked her if she knew how long wait times were and she said (with attitude) "I don't know that information. You'll have to ask when you go down to the bar and place your order". I went down to the end of the bar and spoke to a gentleman, who I took to be either the owner or someone of importance. He was very friendly at first. As soon as I let him know that I was trying to place an order for Postmates his attitude changed. He said "Yeah... we don't do that." I explained that it was the same as me coming in as a patron and ordering carry out for myself, as the person who placed the order had selected the option to have me pay for it with my Postmates card. Even after my explanation he said, with a snotty tone, "We don't do that, so you won't be able to order". I thanked him and walked away.
If they had taken the time to actually talk to me they would have known that they were passing up on a huge order! I had to contact the customer and let them know what happened and then cancel the order. I know now that Circle 7 Ranch is not a place I will visit again. Their staff and management is...
