Angus Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Baltimore

Just dined here on a Friday night around 8:30pm. It didn’t look too busy so we got sat immediately. We were hoping to have a great dining experience but it was the complete opposite. I waited 15 minutes before I had to LITERALLY raise my hand and get a server to come over. Mind you, she walked past us several times and did not even acknowledge us. Meanwhile while other tables that came in after us were greeted shortly. Our server was polite though.

It seemed like the restaurant didn’t know what to do. I had to ask for scissors, tongs, sauce tray… when it should’ve been brought out in the first place like every other KBBQ. When we finally got our first round everything went smoothly and hoped that the food would make up for the lackluster service.

Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing and didn’t come out how it was shown on the menu AT ALL. For reference we got the $38 menu. Overall meat quality did not match the price we paid. The brisket was thick with little fat on it, the ribeye was not a full ribeye but rather sliced pieces with no marbling, and every single marinated meat we got was over salted. In general, you can taste the low meat quality. The only thing decent was the garlic shrimp… since it was just chopped garlic and shrimp.

To top off the experience, 18% auto gratuity is put on the check. All they have is a small sign at the host stand saying all checks have auto gratuity.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was unique and clean. We made a reservation so we were seated immediately; however, the service was terrible. We waited with menus for 25 minutes until a server took our drink order. We put in our food order immediately. We then waited another 35-40 minutes for the food - which was good. They only had one sauce choice which we had to request. Our server came by once or twice. He was nice but continually apologized. We put in a second round order of food which was never brought to our table. The night manager was on her phone most of the time not checking in with parties. This place is a disaster. Severely understaffed. Our entire meal took over three hours. It took 30 minutes just to get a server to our table. The concept is 90-minutes “all you can eat” from the moment you place your first order. It quickly turned into “you get one round of food” because we never saw the waiter again. He came by one hour later and we put in our second order, but we never got it as we decided to leave after 60 minutes of waiting. I spoke to the “manager” on our way out.
