I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Annabelle Lee Tavern! While visiting Baltimore, this is a must see. Beautifully decorated with macabre decor and paintings of Poe and other elements of his famous works such as the raven, and Annabelle Lee herself. Beyond the spooky visual interest, the tavern has a cozy vibe and feel to it. If I was a local, I would absolutely become a bar regular. My “MORBID RUMINATION” cocktail (made with gin, maraschino cherry liquor, gin etc) as well as my espresso martini were out of this world. Jessica was our bartender and server, and she was so knowledgeable about the restaurant, cocktail menu, and absolutely wonderful to chat with. For dinner, I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which came in a bun with lettuce and tomato and a side of sweet potato fries. When in Baltimore it is imperative to get quality crab, and this sandwich truly delivered as it was full of large pieces of lump crab meat with a wonderful flavor. 10/10 evening full of fond memories and delicious food and drink, I can’t wait to return on my next trip!

I really hate bleu cheese. Like ruin-my-meal disgusting. I love ranch. (Cue white girl joke, whatever, it's delicious.) I order things with buffalo sauce purely so I can have something with ranch. I asked for ranch instead of bleu cheese with the buffalo mushrooms, making it very clear in the instructions that I loved ranch and hated bleu cheese. They sent extra bleu cheese with a note that "bleu cheese is better, thanks for your order LOL". I paid $20 for a small order of brussel sprouts and a few mushrooms and not only did they give me bleu cheese nastiness to eat with it, they mocked me for it. What the hell Annabel Lee?! I had to drive to the store for ranch so I could come back and stomach your now-cold mushrooms. 2 stars because other visits have been good enough to raise it and it's nice they have vegetarian options, even if they are overpriced and come with white sauce that tastes like stinky socks.

Annabel Lee Tavern is a quaint and cosy neighborhood hangout with a quirky but fun Edgar Allen Poe-inspired decor. If you are intent upon eating there, reservations are a must as there aren't many seats to be had. Beers? Wonderful variety and some particularly surprising flavors. I started with shrimp bisque - delicious. My main course was 2 hefty crab cakes, mashed potatoes with bacon, and greens, and it was all amazing. Other plates around my table included pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries, meatloaf with madhed pitstoes, and the Buffalo mushroom wrap with salad. Everyone was delighted and plates were summarily cleaned! Just be aware, the Buffalo mushroom wrap does indeed pack a kick, so be ready. The staff were cordial, welcoming, and efficient. The food came out of the kitchen with surprising speed. Good job! I would definitely return to the Annabel Lee.

1st let me say our server Kurt was great! There was another lady not our server who was just as good. The seating for me was very uncomfortable so she got us the only regular table. All the others are pub height. So that was awesome because the table was held for other ppl but they gave it to us! Our appetizer was The Oriole it was good. The sauces were great. I had seafood lasagna it was a little too salty with the cheeses. I should have complained abt what happened during dinner but I didn't want to spoil dinner for my friend she was totally enjoying her meal. A dude with dreadlocks came to the table I had taken an important txt. I didn't know who he was no chef uniform not even a Poe t-shirt all the other staff wore. First he demanded I acknowledge him and I didn't right away I was responding to my message. Then when I did I didn't understand what he was saying he bc his speech and grammar sucked from what I did hear. So this person had the audacity to do some atrocious finger movements I guess his version of facetious sign language certainly not ASL!! I was totally offended because I am a hard of hearing person! I didn't feel a need to explain myself to him either! I really started to give a formal complaint and not rate it poorly bc of one jackarse but he blew a good dining experience for me. If he was the chef or even cook he should have been more presentable than street clothes and all these bleach tipped dreadlocks piled on top of his head. A professional would have at least had a head covering when cooking food for an establishment! So there you have it! I didnt take any pictures. After the incident with dreadlocks I really lost my appetite and ended up taking my food with me. I'd like to add the decorum was awesome! It captivated me from the moment we entered. Edgar Allen Poe and Goth connoisseurs...

Okay, so me and my fiancé are not originally from Baltimore, he found this place online. I am a HUGE Edgar Allan Poe fan and this place did not disappoint with its ambiance. But that is just ONE of the MANY things absolutely amazing about this place. When we went it was not busy at all although I’m sure even if it was it would not affect the service in any way because the service was top notch. Our server was attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Now we get to the food. OH. MY. GOSH. It was so good, I ordered the meatloaf and I can say I have never had a meatloaf dish “wow” me before...that was before this meal. The meatloaf was tender, savory, and seasoned perfectly, along with the potatoes and green beans it came with. I was blown away. We ordered a chocolate mousse for dessert and that was equally as amazing, not too sweet but also not too overpowering. We had a cocktail called “the raven” and it was SO strong but that’s what was good about it! You’re ordering a cocktail what do you expect? They have merchandise to purchase as well and I highly recommend buying something to remember this amazing place. It’s at least 4 days later and me and my fiancé STILL cannot stop talking about it. If you live in Baltimore or just passing through, I HIGHLY reccomend this place. Absolutely amazing. Would give higher than a 5 star review if I could. I want to come back to Baltimore from Chicago JUST to...

Annabelle Lee is an Edgar Allen Poe-themed restaurant that blends creativity, excellent food, and impeccable service. I've visited several times, and every single experience has been nothing short of extraordinary.

The menu at Annabelle Lee is nothing short of exceptional—every dish I’ve tried has been amazing. If you're in the mood for some appetizers, the Brussels Sprouts and Buffalo Mushrooms are absolute must-haves. The Crab Cake is cooked to perfection, and the Tell Tale’ Fried Chicken is a flavorful, crispy delight that will leave you craving more. I also highly recommend the Mango Vegetable Curry and the Honey Cajun Salmon—both dishes are bursting with flavor and show the kitchen’s true talent. If you want something more simple, you can't go wrong with the Meatloaf 2.0 or a cheeseburger. Don't forget to ask about the soup of the day. If they have the mushroom with blue cheese, GET IT!!

As for dessert, every single one is a treat, so you can't go wrong no matter what you pick. When it comes to cocktails, the Goldbug, Morbid Rumination, and Spirits of Dead are top-notch options that complement the atmosphere perfectly.

The service is always excellent—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, they make you feel like part of the family. Truly, there’s no bad choice on the menu. Annabelle Lee never fails to deliver an unforgettable dining experience! This spot is...
