I wanted to share my most recent review. Atwaters personnel (Ive been a regular now for 10 years or so) has served me before, during, and now âafterâ the period of quarantine, and Iâve seen certain unexpected changes - not all good, but new Team Member âNOVAâ reflects the best of what I used to be able to expect daily from your staff. Even the Catonsville store shows signs of downturn when it comes to certain new personnel and even higher level management that is NOT new.
TEXT OF MY RECENT Published REVIEW:
Even in this Covid-19 era, Atwaters at BSQ continues to deliver good fare in a clean, sanitary, well-run environment.! The Atwaters BSQ Team recently added "Nova," a truly cordial and efficacious professional who loves delivering qualitative service with kindness, patience, and a smile! Though some workers at eateries are suffering the effects of this recent stressful period of uncertainty and constant change and have as a result become jaded, disinterested, or customer un-friendly, Nova definitely has not! Her energetic, mindful service reflects the best parts of the human spirit and, thus, she is a valuable asset to Atwaters - and would be such to any establishment seeking to rebuild its customer base and overcome the hardships caused by this dreadful 'pandemic" and the resulting economic downturns, gloom, and paranoia. I just met Nova today at the BSQ location and was really impressed. I will return more frequently now due to her excellent service and cordiality! Good job!!!! Hats off also to Eli and Brie who are consistently top notch and who treat patrons, particularly long-time regular customers like myself, with respect and kindness rather than with disdain and a commonplace regard, negatives which unfortunately some others do practice while they are taking and fulfilling food orders and providing less than...
Read moreThis is my second visit at Atwaterâs Belvedere Square for breakfast. I was picking up my glasses in the vicinity and decided to give one last chance for breakfast. So disappointing again! My bacon was so burnt and scorched that it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. When replaced, I was presented with dripping grease bacon and not the extra bacon that I paid for. I advised that I paid for extra bacon and received after. My potatoes were so old that they taste like theyâve been stored for days in the refrigerator. When I put my fork in the potatoes they cracked and fell apart. The taste was awful. Most of the onions on the potatoes were recooked and also scorched. So much grease. The eggs freshly cooked but poorly presented. They were also semi-burnt. The presentation overall was horrible. The taste was very dissatisfying and quite disturbing to my tastebuds.
Again, this was my second visit for breakfast. It is most certainly my last. My first visit with my son was horrible. I had to have our food remade. The bacon then was also super burnt and potatoes were old and everything was dripping with grease. I will continue to bypass Atwaterâs during my visits at Belvedere Square.
To add, my dissatisfaction of the scorched bacon was not displeasing to, I think, the manager (Asian female) as she poured the new bacon as the grease dripped ahead of the bacon, on the rest of my food. So distasteful and just disgusting.
Maybe the fix would be new management, food & safety classes, presentation classes, updated/refreshed customer service courses. Itâs such a poor look on Belvedere...
Read moreThe Prigel Family Creamery stand is truly wonderful. I can't attest to the food in this market eatery, but you should definitely save room for dessert. I got the cinnamon bun and berger cookie flavors in a waffle cone. I know this sounds absurd, but the ice cream base was so amazing I almost wished I had ordered plain vanilla. Wow! That being said, the toppings took the ice cream up another level. Cinnamon bun was large pieces of cinnamon buns added to the ice cream. None of that cinnamon sugar swirls with frosting streaks. An actual cinnamon bun, in the middle of my delicious scoop of ice cream. And it tasted fresh. How do you have such a soft topping mixed in an ice cream and make it stay soft and fresh? I wouldn't be surprised if the scooper took my order, quickly ran to the oven in the next room over, took out a cinnamon bun, and mashed it into my ice cream without me noticing. The berger cookie flavor was good enough for a rave review at another creamery with its sweet fudgy chunks in the lovely vanilla base. On this day, it had the poor luck of sitting next to cinnamon bun in my cone, and thus took home a second place trophy. I'm planning a return trip to Maryland to visit the Prigel Family Farm and shake the hooves of the cows that produced...
