Living near Arundel Mills, there aren't any good pupuserias around this area. So looking online, I found this restaurant in the Fells Point area and I decided to give it a shot! So parking is not that bad, at least on a Sunday when I went, since I was able to find it for free on the street on Broadway. So the decor inside definitely reminds you of being in El Salvador and its very homey. Additionally, the waitresses are more than welcoming and show great hospitality. I think they should update the menus--right now its just pictures of the food items but not much description of what each dish contains (at least for those who are not familiar with it). But I knew I was coming in for Pupusas and honestly these were different than I've had before, but yet they were good (not the best, but definitely good). I also had plantains, which are fried but not the same way you would find like at a Jamaican restaurant but definitely was good. For 25 bucks for dinner for two, I could not complain (and also the free...

We LOVE this place!! They have Mexican and El Salvadorian food that is ALWAYS fantastic!! Everyone is super friendly and efficient and the place is always clean. The owner or a partner? Is usually onsite and is sure to check in with you. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food, OMG THE FOOD, is brought out quickly and we have yet to have a single dish that wasn't delicious! The only things I would change are the complimentary chips and salsa but my mother's godparents own a tortilla factory in Texas and I am spoiled and fickle when it comes to chips. The salsa is easily doctored with the assortment of table condiments and you should be saving room for the food anyway. The combination platters are HUGE and delightful, tacos (including lengua and chorizo) are authentic, and I always get a fried corn tamale with fresh crema. Do yourself a favor and head to Upper Fells point, grab a giant, cheap, and tasty pitcher of sangria, and stuff yourself with at this...

El Salvador must have a seafood culture similar to Maryland. Locals getting food from the water and making magic with it.

Aside from the regular dishes associated with food from Latina countries (tacos, burritos, etc.) El Salvador Restaurant has great seafood.

When I see the piping hot plates and bowels headed to tables of families and groups of people in the Know (aka-Latina People) it is very clear the seafood is a big hit.

I cant stop ordering the Rockfish. The fish is served whole, fried to crispy perfection without sacrificing the tender juicy meat. The only condiment I use is a little lime juice.

I would also recommend the margarita. The recipe must call for a splash of condensed milk, or coconut milk because there is something different about this common drink that nobody else is doing.

The service is outstanding considering how welcome you are made to feel even with a sizable language gap (Smiles speak volumes).

I am always happy that...

We had stopped in here on our walk back to Fells Point from Ministry of Brewing to grab a bite to eat. It was rather late for dinner (by our normal standards) but this place was busy! We were greeted and seated promptly by a super-nice and friendly elderly gentleman. Our server delivered us complimentary chips and salsa. I got a mojito and the DW ordered their house sangria. Took a while to get them, but they were on point. We weren't super hungry but knew we needed to eat before going to go drink some more. :) We ordered a couple of different tamales (pollo and elote) and a couple pupusas. Everything was delish! The gentleman that greeted us came back a few times to check on us. He was lovely to talk to. We'll definitely be back someday to try out the rest of their menu!

Food was actually great, I tried the Steak Quesadilla and I could barely finish the plate, but I did and didn't want to go back to work after that. what bothered me was that the waitress brought my friend a soup but never came back to give him the spoon he needed for it, even after he requested it. he just didn't give her a tip. also when we got there we requested that everyone was to be billed separately and I guess they forgot and we were billed all together and then ended up waiting around another 10 min to get it separated again which made us late getting back to work
