We had our wedding in the courtyard and cabaret. The only hiccups were a miscommunication for our night of reservation, spacing for our DJ and that the AC went out the day of our wedding on 102 degree day. The venue was willing to move our reception to 2nd floor as they could not get a company out the same day to fix the unit. Thankfully a guest of my wedding works in HVAC and the venue agreed to have him service the unit to allow for us to have the event we had pictured/planned for 2 years. There was some sort of miscommunication in reference to the nights we needed booked and we had to change suites the day of our wedding. I recommend confirming the reservations and receiving an email confirmation rather than them "adding it to the contract." We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, however had it rained the venue does not allow for tents and stated we'd have to pay for the full space rental if we wanted to do the reception in the city lights area. At the closing of our reception the security was not as helpful and denied my husband access to re-enter the venue to clear out decorations, even though we still had time to cleanup as part of our contract. To have a successful event here it takes a village to prep and breakdown, so note that for your consideration. Overall the staff and space were as helpful as their contract outlines, I was happy that everything came together with the help of much loved family...
Read moreTerrible service. They bait and switch, the front desk staff is rude, and quite frankly Mo in particular is as creative and helpful as a box of burnt sticks. They acknowledged a booking I made for a newlywed couple but on the day of the booking refused to honor it without my ID present. Mind you, I live multiple hours away. I understand consumer protections, but people and businesses book stays for other people all the time. There are forms and procedures for this. But in this case, there was endless loops of conversation and arguments with Mo because the manager was on vacation. How do you have a manager on vacation, but no one else in charge? In the end, I had to embarrassingly ask the newlyweds (yes, newlyweds) to find another hotel, and M**o was able to "break policy" and refund me. That was odd, because the couple couldn't stay since that would have "broke policy." None of it made any sense. So, just stay away from this place if you are looking for an easy, stress free stay.
RE response from Lauren below - the reservation was listed under his name. Further, credit card authorization forms assist in these situations but you refused. In addition, the manager called me that night and admitted she secretly listened in to my earlier calls where I repeatedly asked for a manager - yet she did not announce herself. All of these practices are deceptive. Please contact me to...
Read moreThis venue is beautiful; however the management is very rude. I attended an event there on September 26, 2018. The event was awesome a faux wedding by Audrey Lux Weddings. The young lady who owns Audrey Lux put together an event that highlighted her business as well as various vendors in the area. The management seem to lurk around the event stone faced. I really wanted to take a tour around the place but again management appeared to be not interested and very unapproachable. My husband and I want to celebrate our Anniversary next year in MD where my children and grandchildren live. I was very interested in having this grand affair there. But the way management behave I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps they only cater to a...
