BF and I each got a boba tea, about 30mins from closing one Saturday.
I was SO excited to try the place, as it's a bit closer to home than other boba places. But I ended up being a little... disappointed.
The cashier was more into her phone than paying attention to my BF, who was ordering. Also did not realize that we should have been offered the option to change the amount of sugar/whatever is in the drink - until I observed that she DID ask the guy behind us was specifically offered and asked by cashier, "How much x (ingredient) would you like in your drink?"
I also bought about $20-30 of goodies - great to have there locally! But she scanned it and left them (about 4 or 5 little food packages) sitting on the counter, served our drinks, then paid us no mind and went on to the only other person in line. Did she forget us? Maybe there was something very important on her phone? Nonetheless, she wordlessly and blankly handed me a bag when I asked, and I bagged my merchandise. Service could certainly be improved.
Also, the boba placed into everyone's drinks was just laying in a bowl... container doesn't matter - but there was no lid! Hope that was not ALL day...but it doesn't seem to be the case, in my observation. Bottom line, place wasn't as clean it should / could have been.
Boba itself was a bit watery, not my fave, but I'd like to try more. I would also order one of their hot dishes.
TLDR: Service leaves something to be desired. Boba not too great (but not too horrible.) Love the assortment of sweet bread, Pocky, and other...
Read moreStopped by because I go to University of Baltimore and I've been wanting to try this place all semester. There was only one girl working the counter so it didn't make me mad that service was a little slow. I work in restaurants too so I get it. But I didn't even get a hello or a "I'll be with you in a minute." When I asked for the tapioca pearls that make bubble tea actual BUBBLE tea, she told me that they didn't have any? How are you going to call yourself a bubble tea place without the main ingredient of bubble tea? I told her I wanted my drink half sweet and that thing was absolute liquid sugar. If that's what half sweet tastes like, I can only imagine full sweet. I couldn't even drink the whole thing. I went across the street and threw it out in a trash can on the corner. Won't be wasting my...
Read moreWent for the second time (and my family's first time), and we had a disappointing experience. First off, this is not the best bubble tea place in Baltimore, but it's convenient for the students and locals in the neighborhood. There were only tapioca bubbles as a topping choice left toward the end of the business day, which is normal if the business makes a certain quantity before business hours. But the quality was not that great. When boba gets stuck to itself, it's very difficult to drink and eat your bubble milk tea. Additionally, the initial order was not processed correctly and a receipt was not given for the initial order and the correction. It would be in the business and the customers' best interest if this gets fixed because receipts holds both parties...
