I've stayed here several times and they never disappoint with their service, cleanliness and comfort. The rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. The include an accent chair or bench, a desk and big armoire. I am usually there for business so it is good to have the armoire option to hang my clothes. There are two side tables with lamps and options to plug your devices. Even the alarm clock has a USB port. Overall, there are plenty of places to charge up. Although there are 3 lamps, I wish there was more.light. On cloudy days it doesn't feel as bright and I need more light.
There are 4 big pillows in each bed and the pillows are ok, I have no issues with them. They don't feel cheap or old. I don't like that the beds have a thin cover and a sheet but if I get cold I can adjust the temperature in the room. I wish they could provide an additional cover in case needed. The bed is comfortable for me but I don't mind beds that are a little on the harder side. My friends have not complained about the mattress so I think most people are ok with it.
The TV is a little probably 42". There is a small fridge to store water, etc. the curtains are blackout so no need to worry about the sun if you are sleeping in. I love that feature. The floor is laminate, no rugs, which allows you to see how clean it is and I've never had an issue with cleanliness. There is also a large full size mirror in each room, which is necessary.
The bathrooms are always beautiful, modern, and clean. The mirror offers vanity lights to help with makeup. The sink is pretty big and high, making it comfortable for people who are taller. There are plenty of towels but it would be great to add at least another hook. The shower is a walk in with glass doors and has the removable shower head. The water does not spill out and wet the entire floor as I've seen in a lot of other hotels. Now , here is my absolute favorite part of the stay... They offer the best smelling products ever, so you do not need to bring your own- hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand/body cream. The smelll is amazing. I look forward to using their products each time. I hope they never stop offering that brand of products.
The noise in the hotel hallways is minimal. I've never had a noise complaint. There are some weird noises inside the room and it may come from the vents, but nothing from outside. The halls are long so it's nice when you get a room closer to the elevator. Any side of the hotel has a decent view of the city so I am never disappointed.
The lobby is gorgeous and has beautiful, unique pieces of furniture that make it very elegant and comfortable to hang out with groups. Whenever I am waiting for colleagues I am always happy to wait around in their lounge area. Front desk staff are always available and friendly. The restaurant/bar is just as beautifully designed and I've spent many evenings there chatting it up with colleagues, having drinks. There are tables to sit and plug your devices and also couches for groups to sit as well. There is never a need for more chairs. The bar is big and has the most comfortable stools I've ever sat it at a bar. I sit there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can plug in my laptop and work comfortably.
The bartenders are always friendly. They recognize you when you go back and they make you feel welcomed. I've had many funny and warm encounters with the staff. They make you feel comfortable. The bar offers a lot of the fancier bottles and the basic stuff. Their options are well rounded. The coffee is really good as well. Food offerings include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their last call for food is 9:50pm so if you are a late eater your have to go elsewhere. I've had all kinds of dishes here and I'm always happy with...
Read moreHotel indigo staff was Awesome esp Britt & Carlton, Carlton def made us feel welcome. My husband & I are on road trip so BWI is our 2nd stop than to Va before returning home. I was Very & I say Very disappointed with the carpets in the sittn area & bar area I of which I took to back up my claims. This issue along with No Where to hang your wash clothes & towels if its 2 of u for the bathroom..What happen to hotels puttn towels bars bak in the bathrooms. The $10 charge for microwave took me thru a loop as well. The location was Great,, we love that parkn was across st for a discount price each time ur in/out. We are owners of Westgate resorts so to come here after Westgate refer us I was lil disappointed with the things we encountered. I came in,my room, cleaned off old ketchup stains stuck on closest but refuse to get it off the wall & the stains on the carpet that the bed sits under. The carpet definitely needs a make over thru out the.building, startn with sitting area & the bar with the peeling leather chairs & some stains on the cloth ones. It can be a 4 star & more if they fix these problems. Westgate have their issues too & I call them out when we stay at their places as owners .U pay for what u get just shouldn’t be when u stay in 4 star hotel, I expected this from a nasty old motel for Sure! I was little disappointed with our stay but made the best of it due to the othr perks we endure with Britt & Carlton, thanks to you two Agn, Outstanding Customer Service. A Smile & Thank u can go a long way & these two provided this each day we seen them…We will give Indigo another shot as we visit BWI in Sept. Hopefully the carpet will be shampooed in those areas mentioned & housekeepn will clean a little better with old ketchup stains on walls/closet. As our trip is comin to an end soon I’ll still recommend this hotel to others since we’re owners & visit different hotels periodically when we wish not to stay at Westgate properties… Thanks for reading my review & hopefully addressing my concerns later down the road since hotels are climbn back aboard after the COVID shutdown. Sorry email doesn come up under my marriage name but will voice my opinion when we check...
Read moreI had an early morning appointment at Johns Hopkins, and stayed here the night before instead of driving up from DC. I usually stay at a Holiday Inn Express near the harbor, but the Orioles were at home, so I didn't want to deal with the crowds. I'm glad I chose to do that, because I have a new favorite hotel in Baltimore. We arrived fairly late, and I'm mobility challenged, so it took a few minutes for my wife to coordinate with the staff to figure out where I was entering the hotel. The ramp is around the corner, and we parked in the Franklin Street Parking Garage across the street. If you're parking your car and don't have a lot of baggage, I recommend you park first, because the street is one-way and the entrance to the garage is on the opposite side of the street before you get to the front door of the hotel. Otherwise, you have to go around the block again. Check-in went smoothly, and we got to our room and were quite pleased with it. We got a king suite, and I highly recommend spending the extra $50. It was much larger than I expected it to be, with a sitting area the size of most hotel rooms (with the fridge and microwave you expect in a suite). There's a desk in the wide passage between the sitting area and the sleeping area, with a good-sized work surface and reasonably comfortable chair. Despite getting in late, I got a couple of hours of work done before going to sleep. The sleeping area doesn't have a door, but the passage is long enough that the light from the sitting area didn't keep my wife awake while I was working - I'm just noting it in case you're sharing the room with four people using the sofa bed. The bathroom is off the sleeping area, which is another thing to note for that reason. The size of the sleeping area was larger than you'd expect an ordinary hotel room to be, and had a lovely Baltimore-themed mural on the wall, celebrating Baltimore native (and transplants like Poe) writers. The bathroom was well-appointed but otherwise not noteworthy. In the morning, my wife had breakfast in the restaurant. I didn't remember to ask about it, but she seemed pleased enough at the time. Checkout was as smooth...
