BLUF: I recommend. This museum is located in a fully functioning military building. Be aware, this will not be a museum you just waltz into and walk around. You will need to show ID and be escorted into the museum initially. HOWEVER, the museum is worth the wait. Our tour guide was amazing. It was just myself and my 3 kids so we had her to ourselves to ask questions and get interesting facts. It is small compared to the museums in DC, but it's packed with stuff. A large portion of it can be touched by kids, but not the display people. Parking- the museum does not have a parking lot for visitors, it's all street parking. There are multiple 1 way streets directly around the museum so be prepared to drive around frustrated looking for a spot! However once you find a spot the parking is free. DON'T park in the apartment parking lot close to the museum, you WILL get a ticket. Bottom line: the museum is great and 100% worth the drive and parking. I...
Read moreTook my husband there as a surprise for his birthday because he loves all thing military related (and I love all things Maryland history). Its a small place but filled with a lot of artifacts, displays and information. There is even an audio guided tour you can do. We didn't do the audio tour but plan on going back again and doing it. Definitely recommend if you want something to do on a free day and don't want to spend money (it's free). And the location was great. It's right around the corner from the State Center subway stop. Parking is a bit difficult so I'd recommend taking the subway since...
