These brothers are so welcoming and personable. They've been holding this spot down for years, making it a treat everytime I go to stop by. I always wind up getting into an engaging conversation that puts a smile on my face. Besides that the Conneticutt Lobster roll is the best ever. The little brioche roll is warm, toasted, soft and buttery all at the same time. The warm Lobster meat pairs exceptionally well with that brioche and butter flavor that you get in every bite. The only bad thing I was saying was, damn their pickle spear got thinner 🤣. Guess they had to cut back from somewhere. 🤷🏿. Surprisingly enough that little sando will fill your stomach up enough for whatever meal you choose (breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner) no more no less. So don't get carried away going on a 8 hr road trip and think this sandwich and chips gone last you. Whole takeout experience definitely a 8 out of 10 and I didn't even sit down inside to eat. So I didn't even get a chance to see what the dining in customer service was hitting for and he definitely asked me twice was i sitting down (uh oh chick fila 😏🤌🏽) . 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 good job black men. I...

The prices are high but not surprising because it's lobster, what was disappointing was the over presentation, taste and service.

When we arrived, we were greeted at the counter by a young lady with no gloves, picking he nails with her teeth. This was made worse by her general lack desire to work or even be there.

We ordered the lobster bisque, shimp and sausage gumbo and lobster mac and cheese.

The lobster bisque was just lobster flavored cream, there was no meat in in.

The shrimp and sausage gumbo, was not gumbo just soup, the shrimp isn't even cooked in the soup, it's thrown in after( I know this because the shrimp tasted like it was boiled in water)

The lobster mac and cheese was dry and burnt and have about 5 pieces of meat that were again, boiled with no flavor.

When I tried to speak with the workers about the food, the same one who didn't want to be there, ignored me as if I wasn't even there.

They need new management, better staffing, and a better menu. The prices are to be expected, but the trash food and service are...

I called at 6:30 pm and confirmed the closing time as stated on the website (8pm). Then, after my boyfriend traveled 25 minutes with 10 to go before he was there, I decided to call and place my order at 7:10 (it was supposed to be a special treat for me since I wasn't feeling good). Imagine my surprise when I was told they were no longer taking orders and were closing. My boyfriend went all that way, only to show up and have them closed. I explained this to the man I spoke with on the phone, but didn't receive an apology or offer to come back and have them make it right in anyway. He just said they closed due to weather. As someone who had worked years in restaurants, I know customer service is crucial to a successful business. I never got to try the food, and it seems I never will due to the lack of consideration for me as a potential customer. Shame because I love lobster, and definitely would have come back again if the food was good. An apology for our inconvenience would have...

Ordered a classic lobster roll and bowl of bisque, both with extra meat, to go. Total for just the two items was $30, before tax, pretty pricey. The bisque was creamy and tasted ok. If you want lobster meat in your bisque, the extra meat add on is a must. Otherwise you'll only get tiny little flakes of lobster every now and then. The lobster roll itself was much smaller than expected, especially for the price. Even with the extra meat, for the price, it is skimpy on the meat. The roll itself was perfectly toasted. It was seasoned well and the lobster was cooked properly, not tough or chewy, but it did have a fishy taste. Got the Connecticut version with butter, was a bit greasy. Would I go back, maybe for a special occasion or treat. Would it be a regular place to go, probably not, it's just not a good value and not great enough to justify the cost.

Ehhh used to really like Mason's, but they have recently priced themselves a bit too high for the quality and amount of food being received. The lobster rolls were $16 and used to be a pretty good deal. Solid 4 star experience and food. I would go 2-3X a month. Now, just a few weeks later... Rolls are $19 with no additional lobster meat being provided. To jump from 16 to 19 is substantial, especially without being offered a higher food quality, or more importantly amount. That's the standard roll price as well. Not the upgraded roll with tail meat. Which by the way is only about the size of my hand.

My Mother's Day treat from my husband. We both got CT Rolls and our daughter got the Shrimp Roll. Succulent pieces of 🦞 lobster and the buns were so filled we ended up with leftovers! The Shrimp Roll was well seasoned with huge shrimp. My husband enjoyed his cup of shrimp and sausage gumbo. Great first experience. It was worth the drive around the beltway in pouring rain! We'll be back! Thank you.
