I have been going to Mindpub nearly weekly for the past year. Today was the last. My order was wrong, so it was sent back to have a toasted GF bagel as ordered. When it came back, it was cold. I have never returned or complained about food at Mindpub, so I felt miserable having to send it back to be edible. It came out perfect. My friend frequently has issues with cold food coming out and asks for things to be re-toasted. We overhear the owner talking loudly about us. She comes back to the table and tells us that we aren’t the right fit for their business. We got kicked out and ridiculed because the kitchen was unable to deal with their shortcomings. On top of this, the guy that took our order said that I frequently return my food. When I discussed this with him, he replied, “that’s not how I remember it”.

Looking back at the reviews, I’m expecting the owner to come back with a snarky quip about how I’m delicate, offended easily, or “have a stupid hairstyle”. That’s fine. I value small businesses and I appreciate the treasures they are in a community. Hopefully the owner and misinformed/confused waitstaff would consider their...

For starters, I no longer live in the city and I still go back to Mindpub often -- if that is any indication of how much I love this place. I have never had a bad experience here and all of the food is elevated way above whatever you would expect of a neighborhood cafe. The owner is remarkably friendly. The staff is equally engaging. The food never takes long and there are always unique specials. On our last visit that prompted me to write this review, my wife ordered a Pickle Soup. Sounds odd? But my goodness it was delicious. I ordered a horchata with espresso foam and it was worth every single calorie. And an added bonus, for my family at least, is the little nook area in the back with comfy seating and toys for kids. I love bringing my 2-year-old here. She likes tasting my breakfast or lunch while playing with the many Mr/Mrs Potato Head toys and plastic animals. It's utterly perfect. My favorite toast: The whipped ricotta. My favorite sandwich: The Jill or The Sarah. Oh, and they serve Pfefferkorn's Coffee, which is also a south Baltimore staple and the based flavored coffee...

I don’t write bad reviews towards a workplace cause frankly I just couldn’t care most of the time.

On Saturday April 27, 2024 I went here for my first time with my girlfriend. We ordered our food, sat down, had our drinks and ate our bagel sandwiches.

The food was ok, the coffee was ok. the atmosphere was nice Until the owner talked to me like I was a five year old for throwing my trash away and leaving the tin trays they use on top of the trash bin.

She stopped me saying “oh no let’s try this again.” And proceeds to speak down to me for not seeing the piece of paper with a handwritten “DISHES” above the trash with a drawn arrow that pointed to a set of stairs to a dark corner with a sink.

I comply and put the dishes where they are supposed to go according to the paper sign. but she still continued to berate me for a very simple mistake.

Hopefully no one else has to endure that type of embarrassment at 8 in the morning when all they are trying to do is enjoy some food and coffee.

The owner definitely needs an attitude check when dealing...

Mindpub is a super cute breakfast/lunch spot. We grabbed a toast sandwich with smoked salmon and bagel sandwich with kielbasa. They were both pretty tasty, though the bagel sandwich with kielbasa was our favorite. The salmon toast sandwich was made with an omelette that wasn't to my taste since it had that well-done egg flavour. The cream cheese on toast was something I haven't had + I really enjoyed that. The side of fruit was a refreshing change of pace from the usual heaviness of home fries/hash browns. The drip coffee and latte weren't both pretty pleasant. I'm excited to try their other offerings next time we visit. A standout thing about Mindpub is that the vibe is so, so nice. We sat for quite a while drinking our coffee after our meal, just enjoying the ambiance. I could totally see coming here and spending a few hours working or reading a book. Definitely recommend a visit if only to check out the cool decor they've set up here.

Mindpub is my favorite coffee shop in Baltimore! Not only is the coffee 10/10 but the food is amazing. They're also very accommodating to gluten-free which you don't see as often at coffee shops. The vibes are immaculate. The perfect cozy and welcoming environment. Its ideal for meeting friends, working, or just grabbing some fuel to start your day off right. The owner and staff are super kind and are finding ways to make customers more comfortable and learn their regular's names. They're a great representation of a Baltimore locally-owned business.

the service was above and beyond. they not only struck up good conversation and were super friendly, but provided things without asking like extra sauces. i got the pulled pork sandwich (forgot what it was called) and it was absolutely delicious, i loved the crema avocado sauce on it and it was cooked to perfection. i also got a jarritos cocktail- get the grapefruit flavor! wish they had pineapple. id love to come back and try the breakfast! may or may not be haunted 😉
