Enoch Pratt Library - Light Street Branch — Attraction in Baltimore

Having recently moved to Baltimore, I’ve been working on establishing my go-to spots for various necessities, and finding a reliable library was a priority since I’m an avid user. As a small business owner, I previously met with an SBA consultant in Prince George’s County for business guidance, so I was pleased to find that this library offers SBA open office hours for business support.

Scheduling an appointment was a smooth and easy process. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk were welcoming and very helpful, printing services were straightforward, they offer 20 pages free—something that other libraries I’ve visited around the DMV either limits or don’t offer at all. My meeting with the SBA advisor took place in the basement of the library, and the session was productive and insightful.

I’ll definitely be returning to make use of the SBA open office hours. I appreciate the convenience and support this library provides for entrepreneurs...

Love my local public library! The staff are always friendly and more than willing to help. The library is always clean and feels safe to work in. There are plenty of computers to choose from and I've been here several times to print stuff. There are a TON of books and magazines to choose from, comics and board games. Wifi works well.

They have many activities during the week, and sometimes during the day they hold events for the kids in the community, which I think is awesome. This means that at times the kids section of the library (all on the same floor) can get a little noisy. There is a small, glass container/room where you can hold group meetings.

This place is not kids friendly at all. Every time​ I go with my three young children (age 15 mo, 2 yo and 3 yo) these particular two Caucasian women make me uncomfortable and rush me to leave (my kids be tearing that place up though but c'mon!!!!)
