I will never come here again, and highly recommend you read this review before you go if you are looking to try this place out. This was my first and last time going here; I only strayed from my normal salon because my best friend had a gift card here and we wanted to try it out. We made appointments for manicures and pedicures before we leave for a trip this week, and I had the worst experience of my life. The woman who did my pedicure cut my toe so badly that I bled for over 30 mintes while sitting in the chair. My toe bled through a towel and multiple cotton balls, and I spent the better part of those 30 minutes watching her and another woman pour hydrogen peroxide on my toe. This took so long that my best friend completely finished her manicure AND pedicure before I even got out of the chair. The woman who cut my toe clearly did not know what she was doing - she also cut my big toe, but it did not bleed as much - and the bleeding was so bad that I could not even get that toe painted. The photo attached was taken a half hour after the cut; as you can see, the bleeding was pretty significant.
However, what really made this a horrible experience is that I was not offered a refund or free pedicure in light of all of this; in fact, I had to ask the manager myself if they would comp the pedicure because of how poor the experience was and since I left with a toe unable to be painted because of how much it was bleeding - and the manager told me initially that they could not do anything about it and I needed to pay ful price. After I pushed back on them, he then said they would be willing to give me 20% off my pedicure ($9). To me, this is completely unacceptable. Three days later, my toe still hurts from how deep the cut was and I am going to go back to my regular salon to have them paint my toe this week. I would never spend another dollar at this salon given their lack of ability and...
Read moreI have been going to this salon for months, and have gotten okay manicures. Sometimes they’re good, sometimes less then but it’s convenient to where I live. Today I dealt with a very rude nail technician that provided me with the worst manicure I ever have received. The nail tech had a terrible attitude due to a miscommunication from the front desk. I had made an appointment online to have my acrylic set removed and a new full set replacement. Then I went in and signed and indicated I needed a new full set. I then reiterated that to the man behind the desk. So 3 times. I was sat in a chair and she asked me if I wanted the set removed and I said yes. She removed them and when she was finished she indicated she was done and I told her I needed a new full set. From there she had an attitude and complete ruined my nails. I always go do an almond shape with a simple design. She misshaped my nails, made them completely crooked and when I asked for a simple French manicure, this is what I received. Then she charged me over $80 for this set. I was embarrassed and angry when I left, it was an awful experience and I will not be back. I ended up going to another nail salon outside the city where I got them fixed. The nail tech at the new place was astonished this was the way I was sent home with my nails. She attempted to fix the shape of my nails, which was difficult with how much the original tech had filed and misshaped my nails. And then gave me a 50% discount because she felt so bad about my $80 experience from polished day spa. Needless to say I will be making this my regular salon. Avoid this place at all costs. First photos are my manicure after leaving polished day spa, last photo was my new manicure that ended up...
Read morePolished Day Spa did not provide a proper massage experience. In summary, it seems like they had an extra room in their spa and decided to try and provide ad hoc massages. Almost nothing about the experience was relaxing.
I made an appointment for 3pm and was not taken back to my room until 3:10. The room was tiny and had no ambiance. It was cold and white with no scents or music. After getting undressed I had to wait at least another 10 minutes before my masseuse came in. The massage was done by a lady who had just finished a manicure; I am not sure if she was a certified masseuse. Once in the room the lights weren't working properly, so they had to set up a cell phone flashlight for light. The phone rang several times throughout the massage. The table had a pad on top of it with a small hole for my face. It was so small that I could only fit my mouth and half my nose it in. That put weight on the bridge of my nose, caused me to become very congested, and made it very difficult to breathe. The massage itself was okay, but there were a few issues. First, there wasn't much care taken to keep the towel that was covering me in an appropriate position. I had underwear on, but it was still uncomfortable. Second, the massage was only on the back of my body. I needed work on the front, especially my legs, so this was a major disappointment. Third, there was no warning that very hot stones and towels were going to be placed on my at the end of the massage. A little warning would have been nice. Overall it was a very sub-par experience and I can not recommend anyone getting a...
