I love this park! One of my favorite things about it are the beautiful views of the inner harbor skyline, there's nothing like it. I see a lot of people get professional photos taken here. It is also a great spot for viewing the NYE fireworks show on the harbor (12/31/19 pictured here), which fingers crossed will resume this year.
There are plenty of lush grassy areas to lay down a blanket or bring a chair and just kick back, have a picnic, etc. There is a nice playground for the kiddos, a basketball court, and during the warmer months an ice cream truck comes around sometimes. And even when they don't...walk a few blocks southwest and you have multiple ice cream shops to choose from.
I live about a 6-7 minute walk away and frequently go on jogs here and walk my dog. Sometimes it gets very crowded and can be hard to navigate the pathways with the dog, in which case I just veer off the park, cross Key Hwy and run around the promenade by all the luxury condos (which is also beautiful).
However, if you don't live within walking distance, the biggest downside of this place is parking. On weekends and even evenings when the weather is nice, you will often find that finding free parking is a struggle. That's just a Fed Hill neighborhood problem in general. There is a metered parking lot on the Covington side of the park though, which from what I've observed usually has some spots available.
All in all, I highly recommend visiting this park...but only come by car if you have no other practical choice since parking can be very...

There are NO amenities at this park (restrooms or grills for example) but don't let that deter you, because there are PLENTY of options for food and entertainment all within a short walk from this location.(You can see a bunch of food/entertainment options while enjoying the view of the park) so this place is also a nice stop for a walk on like an evening date, however be aware that you probably won't be there only people in this park, as again it is a pretty popular place in Federal Hill.
Standard Park hours apply, technically sunrise to sunset, but this park isn't gated so there isn't anything to actually lock/unlock, so you can access it 24/7. That being said, EXERCISE CAUTION AND SAFETY VIGILANCE anytime you're in a public setting (especially after dark) as there is potential for crime if you set yourself up for it. (Remember, if you put yourself into situations because you're unprepared there is a much better chance of being the victim than just being proactive from the beginning)
Overall this is a great park, nice for quiet harbor views while still residing in Fed Hill, so still close enough for...
