I have been here about 6 times. I waited to write this review in hopes that my experience would change. The very last time I was here, I asked for cup of water after spending $30 here for some basic food and the male cashier rolled his eyes and is kinda smug. I had just seen him give a white woman a cup of water with no issues. I asked if I could wash my hands somewhere and he said, "I guess the bathroom." As if saying, why are you asking me? I only asked because the place is so horribly tiny I wasnt sure if they even had a restroom. I usually get my food to go. I think their food is good but after carefully observing the interactions between the staff and other customers I find that this place caters to a certain type: artsy, hipster, white, MICA. He smiles at them, apologizes, good service. When brown or black step up to the register, his whole demeanor changes. The girl with the reddish hair ignored me when I tried to get her attention. They both have this quiet and chilly demeanor. I also caught her "clock watching" when she noticed the crowd of people trying to jam inside the door. I brought two Latino friends here and that guy who likes to display his Oxford University shirt was smug to them. They have the nerve to serve food with latin names and correct my friend's pronunciation of Arrepa. I guess they prefer their brown and black in the kitchen. That's fine, I guess I won't be going back. You won't hear me protesting. I don't go where I'm not wanted....
Read moreLast time I've been here was maybe 2 years ago before covid. I was then The Chairperson to my daughter's headstart. So me and some of the policy representatives would stop here and have breakfast/lunch maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Now that covid is semi over and schools are back in session.
While dropping my daughter of to My Royal. I think of all the amazing memories I've had here. However in the morning it never looks as if anyone is there or planning on opening the shop. That was until last night while trick or treating.
I notice two young ladies emerging from the shop as if they were closing. Which made me so happy to see a live person there. So we stopped I decided to inquire about their business hours. I ask the one young lady who was closer to the door. I said Hello, What time do you open?
Then young lady pointed to the closed sign. As if I couldn't see that, I mean the lights were off. I said you know what nevermind and walked away. I thought that was rather Rude. I will not patronize this business again.
I honestly believe customers service workers should be more hospitable. If you are unable to answer simple questions such as business hours. Maybe this isn't the job for you.
Let's also take it a little further what if I couldn't Read?? Does this change the dynamic of the situation? People should keep in mind tharlt everyone is not like themselves what maybe a simple solution for you is not simple...
Read moreThe food tasts good, but they are lazy. Previously I have asked for avocado on my burger, and instead got half of an avocado just thrown on there....not sliced, not spread on it or anything.
Today I ordered a burger, waited over an hour (OTH did not have my order until the driver went in to ask where it was) and when it was delivered I was given 2 burgers that were not my order. I was told the only option was to come in and bring the wrong orders back or they were sorry if I couldn't. Brought it back, for some reason the tablet they use and their online order platform didn't have my order, so they just decided to put the wrong order in and give it to me knowing it was wrong. My wrong order was also blamed on the shift change, which would mean a proper changeover isn't being conducted.
If the option to order online and have it delivered is so that I don't waste my time during work, then OTH fails at that. Their delivery option is an inconvenience as the orders have been...
