Overall, it was good, but I wouldn't recommend.
We ordered crab nachos, kids chicken tenders, crab cake, and steak sandwich as well as 2 crushers.
The food was good but it wasn't amazing. The drinks were tasty but not strong. The service was good but we were also the only ones there, once more people came in, the service dipped significantly and only 1 other group came in. Most people sat at the bar, but there didn't seem to be a set bartender managing the bar.
We went at 4 pm on a Tuesday. The nachos were an interesting twist, I thought they were ok. Not enough cheese or cream cheese drizzle. The chips seemed homemade, but the toppings were very little.
The crab cake was $20 for one lump crab cake. It was pretty good and exceeded my expectations. The steak sandwhich was also good. It seemed like it was missing something, but it was still good nonetheless.
The drinks has vodka in them and we got the medium sizes. They tasted like straight flavored lemonade.
The chicken tenders were also pretty good. The fries looked burnt, but they were soft and nicely salted.
I wouldn't come here again because the drinks were weak and the food was average. I admit I had low expectations coming here, so the food did surprise me, but I also have had better. It's traditional taphouse quality in my opinion. Nothing really majorly stood out to me.
Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of our food this...
Read moreDifferent Cheesesteak #1201. I got the White Truffle Lamb Cheesesteak. 1st my old man rant, I can’t believe what people are paying for craft beer/food. ‘Do you want sweet potato fries with that?’ Implied fries come with the cheesesteak. Back to our regularly scheduled review. I love what is going on down on the Baltimore Peninsula. I saw ‘Baltimore Peninsula’ painted on the side of a building so I assumed they were talking about the area I was in. Fun place, good crowd and good energy. The description of the WTL cheesesteak sounded very good. It did not pass the eye test. I expected the roll to be sub (philly) par and it was. It didn’t look good but it tasted amazing. All the parts worked very well together. The sweet potato fries were probably worth the extra $2.50. $20 for the WTL Cheesesteak, $2.50 for fries and $8.75 for a draft. If you follow me you know I am not a fan of these prices. With that said, I will be back to try the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and Mac & Beer Cheese w/crumbled bacon. The bartender was pleasant and...
Read moreVibe at 5pm on a weeknight is super laid back. We were the only table eating.
I got the jalapeno cheesesteak and my husband got the double burger. Beer cheese on both sandwiches was super tasty. We both enjoyed what we got.
I bumped my side up to the brussel sprouts at my server's rec. Let me say this - I do not like brussel sprouts! Whatever the kitchen is doing to them here is fire! 🔥 My husband's fries were also perfectly crispy and nothing to complain about.
They have a great variety of beer and it was served crisp and cold. While we both got sandwiches, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of salads and wraps available. I'm excited to try something new when next we visit.
All-in-all, the ambiance is chill, food takes great, and the staff are pleasant as can be. Def worth trying if you're...
