Disappointing Customer Experience. I had been a regular customer at this Thai restaurant for quite some time, as they are conveniently located just six blocks away from my home. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and compelled to share my thoughts.
I was patiently waiting outside the restaurant on a Sunday evening. Although their opening time was listed as 4:30 pm, they opened their doors at 4:40 pm instead. While a slight delay is understandable, it would have been courteous to communicate the delay or apologize for any inconvenience caused. Nevertheless, I brushed it off and proceeded inside.
Upon entering, I greeted the owner with a friendly "hello" and inquired about whether they were officially open for indoor dining. Unfortunately, the owner's response lacked any semblance of warmth or hospitality. Instead of acknowledging my presence, he bluntly stated that if they weren't open, they wouldn't have opened their doors in the first place. I was taken aback by his curt reply, as I was simply seeking a welcoming response.
In a respectful manner, I shared with him that the reason for my inquiry was because he had seen me waiting outside and had not welcomed me. To my surprise, he nonchalantly responded that he doesn't talk to strangers and he doesn't care. I tried explaining that I was a potential customer, having enjoyed dinner at their establishment on numerous occasions before. Regrettably, his response remained unchanged, with him reiterating that he didn't care.
This interaction left me deeply disheartened. It's unfortunate that the owner displayed such a lack of courtesy, disrespect, and indifference towards me as a customer. Despite my appreciation for the cooking of their chef, I cannot overlook the poor customer experience I encountered today. As a result, I have decided to no longer patronize this restaurant.
It is my hope that the owner recognizes the importance of treating all customers with respect and kindness (regardless of their ethnicity), as these qualities greatly contribute to a positive dining experience. The overall experience and treatment I received were simply unacceptable.
Reading the other comments, I noticed the owner have a precedent of mistreatment, disrespect, and indifference towards...
Read moreWhat an amazing culinary discovery! We visited here with my sister and her family and have to say that this is probably the best Thai food in Baltimore! No kidding! We enjoy all sorts of Asian cuisine and especially Thai. I can say that the food here was on par with some of the best Thai restaurants we have eaten at. The restaurant has been here since 1981, and the walls are covered with Best Thai Restaurant awards from various local publications. All are well deserved! From the warm welcome at the beginning, to the excellent and attentive service, to the fresh ingredients and excellent preparation, everything was exceptional! There are many vegetarian and vegan options, as well as excellent choices for meat dishes. We started with the papaya salad, which was fresh, crunchy, and served with a delicate sauce that made the flavors pop! I then had the Basil and Green Peas, which had such a flavorful chili paste, it had me cleaning the plate with some white rice to get the last of it. The rest of our party had a variety of curry, vegetable, and noodle dishes. Everyone loved their selections and we left behind only clean plates! The portions were of good size but not too large or too small. My next visit to Baltimore will definitely have me...
Read moreWhen my husband and I first moved to Baltimore about 5 years ago it took a long time to find good Thai food. We were lucky to have a good restaurant near our house, but then it closed. We were so depressed about the loss fo our favoriate restaurant that we were reluctant to even try a new place. We finally got around to trying this restaurant earlier this week and we were really surprised by how nice it really is. No one was parked out front so we had 6 empty parking spaces to choose from (good start). The restaurant was spacious and the walls covered with wood paneling, really charming. Everyone was extremely attentive and friendly and helpful in choosing from the selection of Thai beer available. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our drunken noodles with scallops and the Tom Yum Goong soup was as delicious as I've ever had. My husband and I really enjoyed the food and we look forward to returning soon and are so happy to have found a...
