LUX Barber Shop — Local services in Baltimore

I found this place one day out of desperation for a haircut one day when all other shops were booked up. Being a black man, you are always concerned whether or not a non-black barber can cut your hair. Let me tell you.. Tony and his partner as phenomenal at what they do. I've gotten some of the best hair cuts I've ever gotten, and what you can't beat is their PRICES! That's what blows me away. They are generous with their time, and offer great cuts at an amazing price.

I came from a barber that used a scheduling service, and I do miss that. If you plan on going to LUX, be prepared for either a 5 minute wait, or 1 hour wait - depending on what day you go. I've found a nice flow of going mid afternoon during mid week, and never have to wait long. But if you go on Friday, be prepared.

The place has decent wait times; you won't be waiting in line a long time. The barbers themselves are decent with the actual haircutting but the majority are inexperienced with hairlines for black men (the first time I went the barber did a passable job but left a series of noticable, bleeding cuts, the second time it was completely uneven and I had to ask for it to be evened out which made it worse) so I would suggest receiving a taper elsewhere.
