Eager Park — Attraction in Baltimore

Job well done !!!!! There was a Back To School event Sat. August 24th & it was fantastic. Big Ups to the event coordinators, the sponsors & businesses that all played a part. It was like going to the State fair without the expensive food & high cost to get in. There was a mountain of carnival games, bounce houses, vendors, horse rides , little kids carnival rides , face painting and free give aways. There were FREE hot dogs, huge hamburgers, popcorn , Gelato , sno- cones & bottles of cold water. Also free bookbags with school supplies, rulers, erasers, loose leaf paper ,composition notebooks ,crayons, calcolators, pencil ceases & 1-2 inch binders . Everyone that showed up & didn't mind waiting their turn was able to enjoy something. There was a D.J., music & a dance area. Large lawn games like Connect 4 & Jenga. This was a blast for the kids especially with the sprinkers on, on a mildly warm day with a slight breeze. Excellent job Eager Park & Associates. I was able to find nearby parking & then saw a sign as I was leaving directing patrons of the festival to FREE parking at a nearby garage. Almost forgot about the free haircuts & braiding and the IG celeb ( based on my 14 yr old granddaughter) i.e see pic with clownish looking face paint & outfit) Can't get much better than that. Now go ahead & get those kids ready for Monday August 26th. & I'll see y'all after I return from my cruise. I'm not finished with Summer yet....

Awesome park in the middle of the East Baltimore city. This location was built to incorporate green space into residential areas. It's a place to kick back on a sunny day & have lunch outside. Johns Hopkins uses this space to host events for the community. There's a stage for local artisit to perform. There is plenty of green space to bring a blanket & relax. There's plenty of space for zumba, yoga, meditation, people watching, social gatherings and plenty other activities. This location is also equipped with watering pad for the children to enjoy the sprinklers on a hot summer day. Overall its a neat location and a much needed addition to the area. Together we heal! Great stretch of park that includes splash pad, playground, and large grassy area for picnics and other activities. Seriously underused because fear of location. Great place for kids and good alternative for Patterson Park. This park was placed for community use and it's a shame to see it not being fully utilized. Politics aside, nothing beats it...
