If I could give SugarRay Bakery more than 5 stars, I definitely would! We had the most amazing experience with this local bakery and they did not disappoint. We came to the bakery with the idea of 4 separate cakes to celebrate 4 family wedding anniversaries at one time. We wanted to replicate the wedding flowers each couple had on their original wedding cakes, just on a smaller scale (6” double-barrel cakes). Rian was so helpful, patient and accommodating to our request and had such great input to solidify our vision and decorated each cake so thoughtfully. The cakes were absolutely stunning and perfectly reflected each couple’s wedding flowers. When the cakes were brought out at the restaurant, the manager and staff could not stop talking about how beautiful the cakes were, and all of our family had the same reaction. They were a beautiful surprise! Never have we been to an event where everyone raved about the flavor of the cakes, but also the frosting – delicious/addicting/perfect - amazing! The almond flavored cake was the surprising highlight, but we all ate up the chocolate and vanilla cakes as well. We have found our new bakery! Give SugarRay Bakery your business - you will...
Read moreSo like I know I came at an off time because bakeries typically have hot spots. However I got a cookie, brownie, and two cupcakes. Like I’m not upset about them having sat for a bit because that’s the expectation of a bakery. I am upset that they’re just not that good to begin with. The cookie was slightly burnt and more cakey than I prefer but that part is just preference. Brownie tasted like store bought which confused me. Wasn’t bad but just didn’t feel worth the price tag. The strawberry swirl cupcake had the jam sunk to the bottom and browning because they didn’t squirt any lemon juice on it to keep the color and it overall wasn’t tasty. Blueberry cupcake had them all sunk to the bottom instead of flouring so they don’t sink. I understand needing to make things a certain price given it’s a small business with not much overhead and knowing raw materials aren’t cheap and you need to turn over some of a profit but if the food itself doesn’t taste any better than store bought then what’s the point? None of the food was bad but none of the food was worth spending...
