Underwhelming for $$$ ..Stopped in around 9:30 am this morning to try out their Vegan breakfast sandwich ( sausage egg and cheese). We were told they were out of egg , but they could make us sausage and cheese. We ordered, total was a few cents under $20 ( for 2 sausage and cheese sandwiches only). The cook arrived to the kitchen a few mins after we sat down I watched her pull our ticket ..the only ticket there was ours. We waited and we waited watching other people come in order and get their food. Then they finally brought out 2 paper boxes w our sandwiches ..I didnt order to go...but I was hungry and still excited to see what a $10 sausage and cheese sandwich looked like :)...I was taken aback when I opened the box at my table. My sandwich consisted of a small black charred hamburger bun, a paper thin piece of sausage meat, with a generous amount of beautiful melted cheese...with a strange spicy mayo sweet relish type sauce (a quarter size hidden underneath in the very center) ...I was a few bites in before I hit it...I didnt care for the sauce, although my companion thought it elevated the sad looking sandwich to burger level...I was looking for a breakfast sandwich. I was so impressed with the cheese that I had to give the cheese a star. I wish my experience had been 5 star worthy. I had such high hopes for this place, the breakfast sandwich looked amazing online.

I did reach out to Dave a week ago but no response. I would like to know if the vegan...

This morning crew on Sunday is literally so unorganized and WAY UNDERSTAFFED, the older coffee lady is definitely on drugs. She literally left in the middle of the absolute craziest moment of the morning to go smoke a cigarette or do a line. They literally cut food service off due to a mile long string of tickets and she instantly dipped out back.. what leader does this? She should of went right to that expo station and started checking and calling tickets. NOT DISSAPPEAR. And with all the zooming around she was doing it didn't seem like she accomplished much. What kind of leader does this?on top of all that she lost my coffee ticket and I waited 35 minutes before I asked counter girl what happened to it. Leader lady must of "accidentally " threw it away she said. And counter girl had to make my coffee and man the register because coffee lady was on "another break".This place needs more professional help atleast on Sunday mornings, the cooks were lost (but I get it and they were nice) the counter girl was sweet but she appeared to be sick or not feeling well. The young expo kid was very nice but also appeared to be lost and was running his hands through his long hair when he was stressed... Coffee lady disappeared 3 times in the hour I was waiting, completely unacceptable... the sandwich and coffee was good but I wasted an hour of my Sunday morning...

edit as of Oct 2021 - I don't know what happened but I think a few key employees left - now this place is no longer on my list to stop at. Recently went in and a line started forming, which is fine...barista did not speak to any of us and instead was busy making a drink for her friend/co-worker (couldn't tell because she wasn't really working but also was standing behind the counter and cooking area). I wouldn't have cared but she seemed more focused on that than helping any customers. I placed a food order and waited approximately 15 minutes for an english muffin sandwich. The cook did not seem to be able to do more than one order at a time (please note there was only one other food order pending while mine was). I finally ate it and the entire thing tasted like old, burnt grease. I was shocked, I've never had remotely bad food from here. I'm really sad it's gone downhill so quickly.

I have loved the Grind House for years! Their lattes are second to none and the food is top quality. I'd recommend the Santa Fe salad or SMH but you can't go wrong with any of it. Everyone working is incredibly friendly and sweet,...

It is hard to resist the House of Grind and once I heard I had to come quickly. In the morning they offer coffee, eggs and pastries. It has a quasi diner feel. The grind pastries had their own profiles and the maple glazed bun connected with me. It was oh oh oh so good and I swallowed the whole pastry without even remembering whether it was the maple or the pumpkin. You might feel guilty afterward, but it sure went down well with Grind coffee. I am sure I will be back to Grind looking for a new type of pastry soon.

I had the sandwich they're calling S.M.H. .. it was an incredible experience. It's not easy to make a non messy messy sandwich. The croissant is interesting, feeling more like a biscuit than a croissant. Not complaining though, as every bite was full of flavor. There's a spicy sauce in this that was really good, as well. Only criticism is how they're not open early enough. I'd have been here every day of my vacation if they opened at 6 am instead of 7. Oh and the coffee is excellent. Definitely stop here.

Absolutely amazing! We ordered the MD Veggie (Beyond delic) and the Balboa - Meatball grinder (hands down one of the best, the sauce is very flavorful, topped with shaved parm on top, and the bread, the bread for both sandwiches was very tasty!) The girls working there were extremely friendly! They greeted us as soon as we walked in and were super personable! Great cold brew and small but fantastic beer selection, Mast Landing is one of our faves here in Maine, and we were stoked to see it offered here.
