Bangor Sandwich co — Restaurant in Bangor

I have been eating at Bangor Sandwich Co. since it has opened and I have not had any issues until the last few orders I have placed (in the last couple months). The first couple times, I figured it was an off day for the crew or maybe it was a busier time or something. I always try to look at factors before jumping to conclusions, but with the sandwich presentations I have bought and received over the last couple months there has been consistency in the decreased quality of their food product. It is definitely not what it used to be. I understand businesses take cuts on food quality to increase profit but adding on the poor presentation makes the product very unattractive to consume. With all this said, my most recent purchase happened today. I ordered and bought a Whole "Cascade" (Black Forest Ham, Capicola, Provolone) online. Went to pick it up, employee asked for my name, I gave it to them, and they handed me the sandwich with the word "Cascade" written on it. I got home, opened it up, and it was not the sandwich I had ordered. It was either tuna or chicken, I could not tell. It was a little suspicious (canned chicken maybe?). The sandwich looked like it was thrown (not placed) in the wrapper because veggies were on the outside of the sandwich when I opened it. The lettuce was old and oxidized, and the bread was old and stale. I called the restaurant and the employee apologized, refunded my money in a timely manner, and was kind (which determined my 3/5 star rating for service). I gave this place 5 stars previously and I’m completely disappointed in today’s food. How is one sub the same as the other. We ordered two meatball subs and one Queen City. You will see from the pics that they are completely different in the same order . Both meatballs are bland, super small and have zero sauce. Both which cost more than the sub in the pics which is double in size. Consistency is a big factor and value for my hard earned dollar. The young lady who made our food and gave it to me was pleasant but should be taught what a value is. I can walk across the street to a very good competitor and get the best food I’ve ever had , and it looks like I will from now on. So...

Decided to eat here out of curiosity and was not disappointed! I was looking for a new place to eat in downtown, just somewhere I hadn't been before. The atmosphere is very cozy: small but welcoming. I ordered the Cluckin Bacon and Ranch club, which was made with grilled chicken, house made ranch, melted provolone and onions. Absolutely delicious!
