Queued for over 30 minutes one late afternoon on a Wed, Nov 22nd & during that time of wait, I was able to observe the speed & consistency of how food servers unreservedly dump meats & sides for orders. There is one particular lady server named Sheila who dumped generous amounts on bowls & burritos (especially for young males) to a point of over stuffing them she had to press down hard the lids on the bowls to seal them. But when my turn came, she got scrimpy that my bowl was so understuffed that as she tried to seal my bowl, the lid almost caved in. Of course I was indignant at what I perceived to be an exercise of preferential treatment on her part so I demanded to get her name. She said her name was Sheila. Sheila jinxed my visit to Chipotle & spoiled my big anticipation of Chipotle’s comeback after being shut closed for years for non-compliance. To Chipotle management: I hope you will consider factoring two elements of conduct for your food servers as evoked by my experience with this Sheila.
1). Please train your servers to be consistent with your standards of measures for every food component that goes in the mix. I’m aware of some liniency to add more upon a customer’s request (which makes excellent pr) but when it becomes grossly excessive due to preferential treatment as shown by this Sheila, it raises a very sensitive issue of being discriminated based on reasons known to her or the perpetrator alone. When I confronted her as to why she was scrimping on my order as compared to the unabashedly excess she dumped on young men’s orders, she just leered back at me & smirked instead of politely initiating to compensate for the observation I hurled at her. My question was not derogatory - I was plainly asking why she is not treating me the same? In her distaste, she hurriedly dismissed my indignation by roughly handling the lid to shut my bowl close only to almost cause the lid to cave in, proving that my bowl was under stuffed! This is arrogance, at its best...
2). I hope Chipotle should always caution their servers to not be arrogant or combative, whether in word or silent body language thru eye or hand movements... unless customers become abusive in their language or conduct. The advocacy of the proverbial slogan of “customer is always right” in these instances can be taken...
Read moreI like Chipotle and I’ve been to many different locations. I’m new to Beaumont and this was my first time here. I was shocked to see how dirty this location was. Against my better judgement I didn’t just walk right out like my instincts told me to. While ordering my food the counters were so dirty, they probably hadn’t been wiped down once all day. Dropped food from the days prior orders smeared all over the counter that my bowl was now being pushed across. In between the different containers of meats, beans, sauces etc. was dropped food and the girl filling my bowl was just swiping the old food that had fallen all over the counter back into the containers instead of getting a rag and wiping it away into the trash like every other restaurant would do. I didn’t order beans in my bowl but because she was just swiping food back into the containers beans were in the steak container so I guess I also got beans. They didn’t even bother wiping my bowls off from the smeared food it picked up along it’s way across the counter. As I’m walking out I’m looking around and the floors were littered with food, napkins and dropped liquids. Table tops dirty. I got home and couldn’t bring myself to even eat my food. My husband ate his and fingers crossed he doesn’t get sick. I’ll never eat here again. This being a chain restaurant, the manager of this location needs a lot more training or needs to be replaced. At the end of the day it’s the managers responsibility. I know...
Read moreWe love to eat Chipotle but not eat it with hair! I ordered a bowl and chose corn as a side. I began to eat my food but decided to move the food around to mix the beans, corn and meat. As I scooped some food and got ready to put it in my mouth I saw a black piece of hair. It was very gross. Decided to take it out but, just couldn't eat the rest of the food. Very politely, I went up to the cashier and said, "I apologies for doing this but I found hair in my food." Showed it to her and she offered to give me another bowl. I accepted and moved down to the food options to begin my order. As she turn to explain to what I assumed was the manager what happened she rolled her eyes and made a face. She claimed that I found a "small piece of hair" as if it was not a big deal. I told them that the size of the hair does not matter! There is still someone else's hair in my food and that is disgusting! I asked for my money back instead. The cashier was very rude and unprofessional when she explained to the manager what happened. Never going back...
