Picked up carry out orders from here twice while on vacation. First time my hubby and I ordered a pizza and took it back to our vacation rental. We have a scale that we judge pizza by: Is it best hot? Is it good as carry out? Is it good cold? Does it reheat well? If you can find a pizza that is good in all four areas you have found an amazing pizza place. That said this is how our order fared: We ordered a large meatball and mushroom. It was ok as a carry out, it would have probably been better if we had eaten it there when it was still hot, as cold leftover pizza was meh and it wasn't good reheated. The thing we liked the least was that the meatballs were thin slices. Our second visit we ordered a couple Grinders. My hubby got the Chicago Steak and I ordered the A1 Bomber. Hubby enjoyed the Chicago Steak, his only request would be that the bun had been toasted (more). I was not thrilled with the A1 Bomber simply because I was expecting the taste of A1 sauce and I didn't get that at all. There was a sauce on the meat but it was like they took the A1 and thinned it down with water and soaked the meat in it, very disappointing. I do have to say that the staff there was super nice, and I think this is a place that I would be willing to give...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place while passing through the area around lunchtime. Some pizza or a sandwich sounded good, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
The menu offered a good selection of sandwiches, pizza, and calzones. It took me a while to decide, but the staff was patient and friendly. I finally decided on small calzone, order of garlic cheese bread, and hot fries.
The calzone was very good. I especially like that they offer a small, which was perfect for me since I wanted to try some other menu items. I still had more than I could eat, though, and ended up taking quite a bit home.
The garlic cheese bread was excellent. It was possibly the best garlic cheese bread that I've had; definitely in the top five.
The hot fries were good as well. I wasn't sure about them when I ordered, but I'm glad i tried them. They have developed a good way of adding heat and flavor to fries without relying on adding dry seasoning after frying like most other places.
I was very happy with my visit and look forward to eating here again when I next pass...
Read moreI ordered a steak grinder online and added extra mushrooms. The employees claim it doesn’t come how the online website says. That I have to individually add the basic toppings that come on the sandwich. Yet at the bottom it shows an exclusion option for each topping. So they tell me I ordered it wrong and refuse to remake it. Then tell me they’ll just cook the onions and green peppers halfway. Well they did not cook them at all. They’re raw as you can see in the picture. They also didn’t add mayo to it, I had to at my house. The bread is dry and crunchy like burnt toast. When I worked there 12 years with the new owner Richard the food was not disgusting like this. Very disappointed because I know how easy it is to make the sandwich from personal experience. The staff acted like I was annoying for explaining to them how the online menu was setup. They refuse to believe it was not my fault, and was just trying to get rid of me. Now I’ve paid $20 for nasty food I can...
