I visited the Chik-fil-A in Hyannis, MA located at 155 Enterprise Rd, Hyannis, MA 02601 this evening around 9:00PM. I ordered through in the drive through - three sandwiches and two large fries, well done, and "plenty" of Chik-fil-A sauce. I was charged for each item when I paid.
As I pulled away from the drive through with my order, I realized that I had been given only one order of large fries. Since there was a line at drive through, I walked in the door that is setup for Covid-19 service. There was a register moved over toward the door, and I walked in - everyone yelled at me... shocking and embarrassing me. Apparently they don't want anyone walking in an unlocked door labeled as the active customer service point?! Someone promptly pushed me out into the rain and locked the door... wow. Note that there is not an inch of awning or overhang to protect those waiting outside from the rain... not to mention the second hand smoke from other patrons that the management doesn't care to do anything to mitigate.
I was then given an opportunity to explain that I had not been given my fries. I presented receipt, noted fries were to be well done, and expected a quick fix. Instead, the person spent several minutes walking around kitchen discussing with other staff before coming back and saying they would not make the fries well done. I noted that they were ordered well done in drive though with no push back (this is my typical order at Chik-fil-A as I'm a regular customer when traveling). The lady explained they just don't do that, "it's not possible".
I asked for five Chik-fil-A sauces because those were left out of my order, too. The lady seemed upset that I asked for sauce, like I was troubling them. She told me I'd have to pay for it, and I have to buy eight sauces for $2.50... I told her I only need five, and every other Chik-fil-A I've been to provides sauce with food. She began questioning me aggressively regarding what I ordered (I guess to properly meter out the allowed sauce portion?!). I told her what I ordered, and I asked for my receipt back (which she had taken while chatting up my missing fries in the kitchen with coworkers). She got frustrated and said she lost my receipt... now, I don't even have a receipt... She spoke broken English and was getting angry and pushy, clearly wanting me to just go away... unsatisfied. She just said "sorry" and would not go and retrieve my receipt.
From that point, I waited more than five additional minutes longer to get my fries. In total, it took just over 11 minutes standing in the rain to get the fries. When she finally came and unlocked the door and shoved the fries at me, I noted to the lady that my sandwiches were now going to be cold, and I was upset and wanted a refund. She said no with a "get lost" demeanor.
I've, literally, never had a bad customer service experience at Chik-fil-A. It's one of the reasons I patronize the store especially when traveling as I've come to expect each restaurant will have the same cleanliness and exceptionally kind and responsive staff. This is the first time I've visited the Chik-fil-A in Hyannis, MA, and it will likely be my last time visiting there. There's a Five Guys just...
Read moreMy son and I had extremely negative experience and bad service at this Hyannis, MA location. We went in for a low key dinner and we got our food 20 minutes after the order was placed when the restaurant was not even busy. We had hard time finding a clean table, the floors were dirty / not swept and the outside area had a big water spill / puddle with paper items (cups, boxes) on the ground. After we finally got our food we sat down to eat but after taking few bites the food didn’t taste right and we decided to inquire to speak with the manager on duty why our order was so delayed. We received no apology and an unsatisfactory answer that “someone else took our order” as if this was somehow our fault. My son was waiting in the appropriate area since placing the order and no one ever called his name to receive it. After we got no apology or understanding from the supervisor we asked to speak with another manager, GM, owner (those were declined) or get a refund (also declined). I sat down on the table with our unfinished original and by now even colder meal and proceeded to call the phone number and name on the receipt looking for some kind of assistance. While I was on hold and following common sense options to get help, a police officer entered the restaurant and asked me to step outside. There, I found myself surrounded by several other officers and their 5 cruisers. There were no introductions or identifications provided at any time. Facing all those difficulties we left with our order fully paid for but received way too late (for a fast food experience) and meals not finished due to all the unnecessary drama and inability to re-enter the restaurant. Our family is most likely not coming back to this specific location or the chain ever again. In addition to the unpleasant dining room, slow service and sub-par food quality we are very much frustrated with the lack of basic procedures how to work with customers when there is a problem. I guess at this location it’s just easier to call the local Barnstable police to handle customer service issues instead of pursuing internal restaurant hierarchy which is very interesting and a bit puzzling to say the least. It was a surreal and totally unwanted experience for us. Please consider carefully what may happen to you if you choose this location and have a problem with your...
Read morePlace an online order for curbside pick up. Drive to location and place is a mad house. Pull into marked curbside spot and put in number as required by app. After less then 10 min I get a notification say food is ready and be out shortly. Sit there for another 10 min and watch people who arrived after us get there food before us. All of a sudden app gets rid of my order like it’s already been delivered. Got out to walk up and see what’s going on. And employees were just going about not caring that I was standing there. Finally get there attention and state issue. Was told to talk to manager when she came out. Talked to manager and she stated hold on. Came back out with a print and stated employee had my food, yet employee didn’t have it(seemed like they gave it to someone else). Then manager and employee started talking in a different language. Was told to wait and had to stand out side and wait while they remade our food that was supposedly ready. Manager made it seem like it was no big deal. Grabbed food when it was finally ready and left as we were already upset by what was going on(should have checked food right then and there).Bad idea. Leave to only find out that they had messed up our order. Won’t be going...
