Shake Shack Hyannis — Restaurant in Barnstable

The most disappointing fast food meal I’ve had in a long time. After a day of running around at work i would’ve eaten a burger out of the trash- but every item in my order was messed up. Bacon avocado burger had a sliver of avocado was literally dripping grease, bacon cheese fries had no bacon and a glob of flavorless cheese, and my cherry limeade tasted like the bottom of the dish bin, or when ice melts at the bottom of your drink, so watered down and no flavor at all. This is the second time I’ve been here and been thoroughly disappointed. However, the staff is incredibly friendly, I watched a guy help a not so nice older couple at the self checkout with a smile. The food has always been really good every time I’ve visited Shake shack. I was very excited to know that one was coming to Hyannis. I see a lot of people are complaining about the prices. If you actually looked at the menu before entering a grand opening you would see that they don’t have combo deals. And you could’ve saved your money by not even entering the establishment and purchasing food. Shake shake has always been a place with no combo deals so every time I do have Shake shack I know what I’m gonna be spending. I came around 1 PM on a Saturday. The place wasn’t too busy, but seating was hard to find. The garlic Parmesan fries were good, but the burgers were awful. I tried the French Onion Soup Burger and it was so greasy I could barely eat it. My daughter’s plain double cheeseburger was also greasy, burnt, and slid right out of the soggy bun.

The milkshakes were the only highlight. Tipping through the computer felt weird, and when our food arrived it was just set down with no greeting or guidance.
