As we enter the peak summer season on Cape Cod, I hope this review will prevent others from Wasting their time and money. My family and I live on the Cape year round and pre-Covid this place was marginal at best.
We gave them a pass of course during Covid. However, over the past six months or so, this place has gone completely off the rails. It is completely perplexing that it is even open.
It is a guarantee that your order will be late, and there will be multiple mistakes. It is completely frustrating to try to open the bag and look through each order item, so you will not realize the mistakes until you bring it home or to the beach. The online ordering system is onerous, and at this point should not be the only way to order food. The hours recently being changed from 12 to 5 are bonkers and make no sense. Right next-door Five Guys has been open with indoor seating for months.
I feel for the employees who are understaffed, obviously not trained, and kind of in a fishbowl as more and more angry customers wait for their food. The pace is absolutely excruciating and is thrown in your face as you watch orders being made in an unbelievably slow fashion. It is actually amusing to watch door dash/Uber eats drivers lose their mind as they wait for orders to come off. As far as I can tell there has never been anyone in a managerial type position calling the shots there. The owner of the store/manager should be ashamed.
I consider this review a public service announcement in the hopes that it will prevent others from wasting their time. Particularly if you were on vacation. There are many other options nearby.
Perhaps there is something about the chipotle model of putting food together that prevents them from going back to pre-Covid. However we have been to several chipotles off Cape that are efficient, friendly, clean, and mistake free.
Just the absolute worst!!! If you read these reviews and think your experience will somehow be different then shame on you!!! I’ve reached out to mall management several times to inquire how this place can even be open!!! Shockingly I have not...

I’d rate this place 3.5 stars at the moment. It seems like they have way more staff than the basis of when I wrote my original review below. The food seems fresh and hot, there’s always been stuff cooking on the grill when I’ve been recently, and the employees seem like they’re trying to get the orders completed and help another out. There’s one woman who is very odd though… she just stares and mopes around slowly. Not sure what her deal is. But glad to see this place taking things serious again. Hope it can be a 5 star location in the near future!
—————————— Original review:
THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP! This one star review is not anything personal. It’s based off of my experiences from every time I’ve ever gone over these last two years.
Chipotle Hyannis used to be spotless inside and the employees did their best to give a good experience. Now it’s filthy, staff trying to do their best with with a lack of menu options and probably think their job is a joke because no one seems to be guiding them and management isn’t providing a good environment. No excuse for this place to be as dirty as it is. During the evenings, The workstation counters seem to always have caked on food, random kitchen utensils left on surfaces throughout the kitchen and it seems like the floors in the kitchen always have food everywhere. There’s never either straws or lids for sodas. Please, get it together. I’m not sure if this place is owned locally, who the managers are, etc. I don’t throw out one-star reviews and am an empathetic person. I keep trying this place because I genuinely love the chipotle menu and want to support this local business. I’m not sure how long it will continue to be acceptable on my part though. If you’re reading this review, consider doing something different than what has been done since the pandemic.
In a world where limitations and supply issues are demanding, Many companies are forced to try their best and find a new way through this chapter. This place is not one of them. It could...
Read moreWhen we go to the place, there was a handwritten sign said online order only. So we place two chicken bowls online thinking in 20mins should be ready. I usually go in a few minutes early cuz sometime they get it ready earlier. Boy, was I wrong. As soon as I walked in, big crowd was hovering the pickup area. I can't even get pass since so many people. Finally got myself through after excusing myself many times. Order was not ready. So i backed away from the area. Got myself a chair and sat down.
As I was sitting there, many customers were getting impatient and was asking to cancel their orders. The cashier finally told him there is a 30mins delay. I looked at my app, there is no option I cancel. I was already 15mins in. I decided to wait a little more.
The pickup station has two people there working. There are 3 other people in the regular station just standing around laughing and talking. Not making any orders since there was no walk-in ordering. I don't understand this concept at all. Why can't they help with making orders. I see many customers walking right back after picking up their orders. They were missing items in their orders. Was simple told they were out of those items. Not even offering replacement or partial refund.
After 40 mins not including myself being early, my name was finally called. I rushed up to grab my order and walked out. Once I got to my car, we opened up the cover. No cheese on our bowls. I don't want to go back and had to wait so we ate what we had.
This location is simply the worse I had seen. Trash was full to the top and no one is clearing out the trash. Tables were dirty. There is no sense of urgency at all from any employees.
I will not be visiting this location...
