We were a party of 6. We all ordered different alcoholic beverages, and everyone enjoyed what they got. I had the specialty cocktail, the Pineapple Express. It may have been the best drink I have ever had. It was so good that two of my companions switched for our second round. We ordered different meals, from flatbreads, to sandwiches, to entrees. The food was wonderful for all. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, which you don't see much any more. It was outstanding. I tried my friend's fig & blue cheese Flatbread and it was excellent. Everyone was happy with food and drinks.
The only complaint we had was with the noise. There was a musician singing and playing a guitar. We were seated as far away from him as possible. The music was so loud we could carry on a normal conversation. The music selection was pleasant, but with only hard surfaces, there was nothing to absorb the sound. The volume could have been turned down to make a more enjoyable dining experience.
We all said we would go back again, but only if we go when there...
Read moreI very rarely rate a restaurant 5 stars, but Gannon's 100% deserves it. We recently moved back to the are, and I had a few friends that raved about it. We've been twice and had the same AMAZING waitress named Ally. I made sure I had her name right, as she is fantastic and a huge asset to the team. Attentive without being overbearing. She and my daughter are now thick as thieves, and my kiddo searches her out when we go.
The food has all been fantastic. We've tried the wings, chowder, flatbreads, salads and cocktails, and nothing came up as " eh, I wouldn't order it again." As a native Southerner I am terribly critical about how true southern food is spiced in the North. I had a lovely chat with the hostess, Hailey, about how well spiced the chili was. It was delicious, without being spicy, and that is truly a feat to master.
I am so happy this gem exists a few miles from my home, because it is delightful.
Gannon's has become our weekly/biweekly haunt....
Read moreI was served a RAW burger. Waitress served appetizers with no plates to share. We waited 10 minutes and had to go to another server to help us. Drink tasted like gasoline. When I asked for a soda, I was immediately informed I was still paying for the drink.(I had never asked for them to remove the drink from bill). I was told “that’s why we limit our drinks to 2 bc they are so strong”(makes absolutely no sense). The manager came and blamed me for burger being raw and said it was my responsibility to inform the waitress if food not cooked properly, although we never saw her again until 20 minutes after my family had finished their meals. She passive aggressive treated me like I was trying to cheat them out of money for HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. I told her to leave it and it would pay and just never return. I’ve eaten in plenty of dive bars to high end restaurants and this was the worst food, waitressing and customer service I have ever...
