Back story: End of Feb we placed an order inside at the counter. There was a new trainee there so we went over the details of our complicated order multiple times while the "manager" stood right there and ensured us the order was correct as the new employee was having difficulty. They gave us the food and we stupidly didn't check it before taking it home. When we arrived home we realized EVERYTHING was messed up (item's placed on burgers we asked to be left off, item's we paid extra for not on burgers, and we had paid extra for waffle fries and got regular). We proceeded to call the location and ask what we had to do as we had paid for stuff we didn't get. Trini the employee that answered the phone said that they were the acting manager at the time and told us we did not have to bring back the food if it was an inconvenience and to save our receipt to bring it back to get a full replacement meal. Flash forward: I went back in tonight and brought the receipt as I was told to and immediately got treated badly. The "owner" Aleesha stated that they would only give me 1 sandwich out of and almost $60 order for free and make me pay for the rest again because we didn't bring back the original order. I told her we were specifically told we didn't have to and she stated "that we obviously ate it so it wasn't that bad". I tried to explain to her that the food wasnt in-edible but that the issue was more that we paid for upgrades that we never received in the first order and that we had to inconveniently pick items off of the food that we didn't want. She continued to berate me like it was my fault. The breakdown is that 1. Her staff failed to make the original order correctly and 2. That when I called to complain her staff told me not to bring the food back and that I just needed the receipt. All I did was follow her staffs directions. The original person who told us to "just bring back the receipt" even told the manager that what I was saying was correct and she still refused to honor what we had been told. We will never go to this location again. Their customer service is the absolute worst and their "owner" is the worst of them all. I have never felt so frustrated with a situation. Read moreWe stopped here to get some lunch to go after 1st stopping at Carl's Jr. in Barstow, but it was SO OVERCROWDED We left & Stopped in Baker. This was a Mistake, it wasn't Very Busy & that is the ONLY Positive thing I can say! I'm Disabled so I went to Their Bathroom & into the Handicap Stall, it Was FLOODED, Not Just a Little, I Actually had to Roll Up my Jeans to Be Sure Not to get my Pant leg WET! The other Stalls were Dirty, but Not Flooded! I even Tried to Soak Some of the Water Up with Toilet Seat Covers to No Avail, It Was Bad! So then I went to Wash My Hands, There Was No Soap Either! How are You Supposed To Feel Like Eating Food, When Your Hands Aren't Clean & How Can Women Employees ALSO Have CLEAN HANDS Or Keep Pants Dry in that Situation?! So I told the Man who took our Order about How Terrible Way Their Bathroom Was & HE SAID, "He Would IMMEDIATELY Get It Taken Care Of!" I Moved Aside To See IF He Would & He Just Gave Out Orders for Food STILL NOTHING For The DISGUSTING BAthroom! Our Food Wasn't Much Better, I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich, No Bacon & Zucchini, my husband got a Famous Burger & Fries. We got a Lot of lettuce on Both, my Tomato was So Thin You Literally Could See Through It! My Chicken Was So Salty & White & Chewy I Couldn't Eat the Chicken, it Did Not Taste Cooked, I Only Ate the Zucchini which was Fair, at Best! I Seriously Doubt I would go Back, between The DISGUSTING Bathroom & Lousy Food I Would Really Suggest Find Somewhere Else To Eat! Read moreReview Edited: Stopped at this location and was appalled by the terrible customer service, food handling practices and uncleanliness of the restaurant. After waiting 5 mins in the drive through without any cars moving, I went in to place my order. After placing my order, I witnessed 3 orders before me going back to the counter for wrong/incomplete orders. Manger on duty appeared rude and did not even offer an apology to the customers for all the wrong orders.
After 10 mins waiting for my order, I inquired with the manager regarding the ETA for my order. The manager misheard me and thought I said "online order" and became extremely defensive. I clarified that I was simply asking for an ETA for my in-store order. She abruptly cut me off and advised they were working on my order now ( 2 burgers, 1 fry and 1 coke).
After waiting 5 more mins, I asked for a refund. The manager started arguing with me that they were making my order now, but handed me my purchase amount in cash and walked away without wanting to hear anything else from me. I paid by credit card and wanted to have the purchase credited back to my card so I did not have to pay interest on my purchase unnecessarily.
Over the past 2 weeks, I have left 4 messages on Carl's Jr customer service hotline (no way to speak to a live person) and have filled out the online complaint form. To date, I have not been contacted by a Carl's Jr representative. Really goes to show how much Carl's Jr values the...
