I'm torn by this review. I have always had a positive experience with habit burger, although the one I usually eat at is in California. Always thought they were spot on with customer service. I guess I have to learn ALL Habit Burgers are not the same! The Habit Burger I usually go to was located in the Redondo beach area of California. But after relocating to Vegas, and missing my favorite đ, I decided I'd give, my favorite place a try. It wasn't until I was on my way back to visit Los Angeles that I noticed a new Habit Burger, near BARSTOW on the way to California. As soon as me and my girlfriend walked in door, looked at the Menu on November 3, 2018 a white male who was extremely animated, rude, agitated, stated he would take our order. We were not greeted by the order taker at register, but by a gentleman I assume was the manager from far behind the counter. The young rude blond guy taking our order did not greet us. My partner told me what she wanted and then excuse herself to the bathroom. When I attempted to order a burger w\o the extras, this dude seemed, flustered by my order. He got a attitude with his voice, was unpleasant, and by the time my girlfriend returned from the bathroom I was still trying to order 2 burgers and Onion rings. When my girlfriend returned, she asked what was taking so long with order. I stated, ' I don't know, I guess he is having a hard time, taking order', He started rolling his eyes, and I don't know if he was new, but he didn't seem to know what he was doing, or how to execute our order. I was on the verge of asking for the manager, it was on the tip of my tongue. Now I wish I had got a manager! I feel like my FOOD was tampered with! I was standing there kinda complaining, AND his coworker a young white girl heard me, looked me dead in my eyes, but didnt offer any assistance. I blame myself, cause I saw dude with a attitude, and didn't speak up! After waiting on food, i kept seeing the young employee, go back by my food being cooked, but noticed he didnt call me to pick up my order. The manager a older gentleman called us up to pick up our food. He was so cordial, I didnt mention how rude the worker was. We exited with our order, but I noticed we both ordered well done charburgers, yet both were not cooked well, showing pink. I only ate half of burger, when i usually can throw down all my Habit Burget. One hour later I got sick for entire day and half night! I was throwing up constantly, and started as a stomach ache, right after I ate that burger! My partner didn't like the burger, but didnt get sick. I wish now I would have said something to management. The person there looked like more of a professional than that rude kid, and I should have complained. Learned along time ago, do not pay for bad service, or bad food! NOW, im NOT craving a Habit burger, and kinda scared to ever go to another one! I definitely recommend NOT going to the one in Barstow, it looks the same, BUT it's NOT! Stay AWAY!...
   Read moreIf I could, I would give this place 0 stars. Where do I even begin? This place is an absolute joke. My experience at The Habit in Barstow was nothing short of a disaster. We were on a road trip, and decided to stop here for a quick bite. Big mistake. We waited a staggering 50 mins for our orderâcompletely unacceptable for a fast food joint.
We kept asking the man at the front about our order, and all he kept saying was "we're working on it." Meanwhile, we watched several other customers come and go with their food. By the time we got our order, the burgers were cold, like, the bread and patties had clearly been sitting out for ages.
Now, this is where it gets truly ridiculous. When we brought it to the attention of the staff that the food was cold, the man at the front didn't even acknowledge the problem properly. We asked to speak to the manager, who was standing in the kitchen right in front of us. Turns out, the manager was too âbusyâ to speak with us directly. Instead, the man in the front just kept relaying messages like we couldnât hear him at the back. Completely unprofessional and rude.
Finally, one of the cooks came over and tried to explain that the cold burger was because of the coleslaw. She actually had the nerve to tell us it was supposed to be cold, as if weâve never had a burger with coleslaw before. The bread and meat were just cold, period. When we asked for a remake, the manager (who was apparently still "busy") tried to shoo us off, saying it would take another 25-30 mins âas if we had that kind of time after already waiting nearly an hour.
At that point, we just demanded a refund. They gave it to us reluctantly, but honestly, it felt like they were doing us a favor by returning our money. We ended up grabbing food at the Raising Caneâs drive-thru, and the experience was miles better than anything we got here.
I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone. Not only was the food terrible, but the customer service was beyond atrocious.    Read moreIf I can give this restaurant zero stars, I would. My husband and I placed a mobile order. On the app it said our order will be ready in 10 mins. We wait 10 minutes then go inside the restaurant. I go up to the counter and the lady, who by the way was rude, said she didn't even see our order on her screen. So then a lady in a blue shirt came to the counter, I showed her my order and she said it's probably way down the list, but she would let me know when it comes up. She never did. 30 minutes go by and we're still waiting on our order. I go up to counter again. This time I talk to this rude young guy. I show him my order. Tell him we've been waiting for 40 minutes. He grabs our order from the side and kinda slams it on the counter towards me. He said," You have to come to the counter and ask for it." I told him I had already came to the counter. But I watched him call names and order numbers and not once did they call our number or name. I understand that they were very busy and it was crowded, but they all need customer service training. I then ask him how long was the order just sitting there. He said 10 minutes. So of course when my husband and I received it, all of the food was cold. I will never go back...
