After visiting here, you will lament all other experiences had at the lesser Del Taco locations. So take a picture, take a video, cherish the fleeting moments you will have at this fine dining Americana staple. Relish it for death comes for us all, and all too soon.

This place is 107 miles door to door from where I live. The drive is worth it. I love Del Taco in general, but coming here is a treat. Anytime I pass by this place I stop and get something, I don't care if I am hungry or not. It's a moral imperative. I have eaten here countless times over the last 45 years of my existence on this floating rock, and all of those times have been fantastic. I come here sad, I leave here happy.

You want a taco from here? Well, they actually put plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce and a whole slice of tomato on it, so you don't have to order 3 tacos to feel full like you do at the lesser Del Tacos. I hate tomatoes, but I eat the ones off these tacos because they are that good. The taco shells are the lightest, crispiest and freshest shells I've ever had the pleasure of cramming in my cram hole. They have to be tried to understand how amazing they are.

The holy grail of Del Taco is the bun taco. There is something special about the combination of their buns, the taco meat and the cheese that makes eating one of these a transcendent experience. My grandfather introduced me to this mythical meat treat in the 80's and every year, on the anniversary of his death, I place a bun taco upon his grave. You have to try it...no really, leave now and go order one.

The fries are the pinnacle of deep fried, crinkle cut, potato engineering technology. There are none better, regardless of how good and addictive the fries are at that place with the clown guy and the golden arches, these are supreme.

You like shakes? Damn right you do, you must order one with your meal. I'm not giving you an option or recommending it, I am TELLING you to order one. I prefer the chocolate, but the other two options are good too, just get one.

So there you have it, go here order one Del taco, one bun taco, side of fries and a shake. If you must be a little girl about it, get a soda too so you can have a tasty beverage to wash this delicious meal down. You will thank me, then you will pay me for opening up your eyes to what you have been missing all these years. I'll DM you my address later, makes checks...

As easy as this review is for me to put up, it was a different story for me to put it together; For one, let's talk about the food, that's the easy part...

My son and I Ordered 3 of the typical Barstow, not so typical corporate Tacos, two red and one green(just to compare) burrito, and a med fry with the "not so secret" sauce(a must, and I mix it, not what katchup, but with yup, yes you guessed it... Hot sauce!!😋

Now for the atmosphere...

Again, my son and I, arrived on a Sunday aprox. 20 minutes till midnight. With absolutely no one dinning in, chairs up and everything looking clean and wiped down, we were expecting to eat in the car, but did not care because we are very familiar with BDT(well at least the Mountain View locay) and after a 2 hour plus drive, we were hungry.

Whelp, as I am sure you've already guessed..? We did not eat outside in the car, but rather inside after a very welcoming approval. We sat, ate, used the restroom and left in under 20 minutes. Of course keeping mindful of the time, and also of picking up after ourselves.

Well hope that gives a good visual thus far especially on the atmos of everything thats been going on. It so easy to put down and forget on what err'bod noh's. To me what's truly lasting and memorable are all those little nuance that most don't notice or appreciate. That's what's difficult for me, how is a Great Golden Standard of not just food, but for it's customer service, that delivers lasting and very impressonable memories be made noticed/mentioned/appreciated, also on those simple but unique stand out nuances...

But enough of that, now lets talk about the real reason behind this blah de blah de... Servicio!!

From walk in - The Gentleman mopping. To walk up - the polite Cashier. To wash up - The Señor cleaning up el good ole baño. To walk out - The Supa Dupa Mera Mera steering this BDT, SAAndra!!!

Well at least it sounded that way, especially after, as "she put it" moi, startling her🤷🏽‍♂️

Apologies for not getting the rest of the crews names, but Sandra's I got after I approached the counter to get a to go... Como se dice..? Oh! Burrito trey(again, gracias Sandra for clarification!) And yes I get it, next time especially at this hour when everyone is too distracted with closing duties, I'll keep my distance and gently kindly make my presence known

This particular Del Taco is one of the best Del Tacos a person could go to. Every taco, and burrito is made to the max. They don't do things cheap here like most of the other Del Tacos. Everything that I've ordered here was worth it.

OK, today I got the number 10, and full sized it. Then I ordered two regular tacos because I was super hungry. I ate in, and they gave me a number for inside. It was busy coming back from Vegas and the river traffic. Lots of people at Del Taco.

I got my drink and sat down for a few minutes. Just started looking at my phone when the lady brought out my food much faster than I expected.

I ate my fries first because who likes cold fries? They were great, and the large container was packed with fries. Then I pounced onto the tacos. The tacos were overflowing with meat, cheese, lettuce, and a slice of tomatoe balancing on top. They filled me up.

Now I had this giant combo burrito to eat. I looked at it and said, "No way. I'm too full." Usually tacos don't fill me up, but the ones at this Dell Taco, and the fries, were spilling over with tasty goodness.
