Short Version: Food- Pretty simple stuff, but tastes great, inexpensive and quick. Atmosphere- Nothing fancy, but very classic and nostalgic. Service- Very nice waitress, no complaints at all.
Long Version: This was a great place to go, I'm very glad that I decided to stop in. As soon as you walk in, you notice old paintings and tools on the walls, it definitely isn't anything fancy, but it felt classic, for lack of better words. The food was great, Brad's Bar B Q is definitely one of those "hole in the wall" places that you stumble upon and have great experiences in. I am definitely going to become a regular. Unfortunately, on a Saturday Evening, there weren't many patrons, and I would love nothing more to see a business like this thrive. It appears to be family owned, probably has been there for a while, and is right off of the highway. To whoever is reading this, if you have also stumbled here, wanting a smaller, classic feel, with great tasting food and great prices, I implore you to give it a try. My fiance and I ordered the "Jumbo BBQ sandwich", and it was certainly a classic Memphis BBQ, loaded up with great meat, and a choice of standard or Hot barbecue sauce. I personally loved the baked beans, and just enjoyed the all around experience. I look forward to trying all the different platters they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI spent about 10 minutes waiting in the drive through and ordered a sandwich plate with beans, fries and extra bbq sauce. I had to pull up after paying to wait about 5-7 minutes for my order. The lady came with my order went over it very fast, I asked did I get the extra sauce and she said yes. I got home, opened the bag to see NO sauce and fries that were about the size of my small fingernail, flat from no potato being in it and so overcooked they were hard. My sandwich had alot of meat on it ( I give a plus for that ) but about a teaspoon of sauce and slaw. If I wasn't so tired I would have gone back for my order to be redone. I got my Sweet Baby Rays out of the fridge, put some on my sandwich and ate with bbq chips instead of the fries. I need to say the beans were good. I did call and talked to the manager who must have been having a bad night from his attitude. He said that he would give me another order of fries if I came back and to order extra sauce next time. I told him that I did. I'm not going back just for fries and that ended the call. I think that I'll go to Tops the next time I want bbq. Sometimes I really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered 3 pounds of pulled/chopped pork for the Fourth of July instead of spending a day and a half smoking my own so I would have time to enjoy the holiday instead of cooking this time. Never again. While the price was good at $11 a pound And the staff was prompt, courteous, and his friendly as they could be, this had to be the worst pork shoulder Iāve ever had. It was dried out and chewy , no smoke flavor, no smoke ring in the meat and had nearly no flavor at all. I pride myself in my ability to smoke Shoulders / Butts that come out as tender and super flavorful as Corkyās, Central, One and Only and even Tops, which has great meat. Next time I decide not to cook, I will be more than willing to pay double to go to one of these other places and get real barbecue with real flavor. This was a waste of time and money. Thanks for a flavorless...
