For the record, I never had a problem at this location prior to these incidents, according to the gps i live 0.2 miles away, so that even means i come all the time. This location has a Hispanic lady as the manager (40ish white shirt no name tag). She is the most rude disrespectful employee at a fast food restaurant I have ever met in my life. Several weeks ago (4-5) I came to this location to order food for my 3boys, 2 nephews and myself. With my order I asked for 16 of the key chain frosties.... mind you I bought 20 of them from THIS location once they were available, because it was explained to me as written on the back that (one jr frosty PER TRANSACTION, PER visit, PER KEY TAG WITH ANY PURCHASE). Meaning, I can buy a $1 burger and get 20 jr frosties 10 times a day if I wanted, if I have my keytags. It only takes basic reading comprehension skills to understand that. She TRIED to refuse to give them to me until the other EMPLOYEES heard how serious I was about it and I read what it states on the back. So a couple hours ago this evening my boys wanted Wendy's and I didnt feel like driving to the one on 59 and irving, so i went on to the one closest to my house on Stearns. I ordered my food without the frosties this time, I was having a great encounter with the young man at the window, then here comes Mrs Bosslady, whom you can tell not one employee likes, comes around the corner. Once she recognized me everyone saw her attitude change immediately which pretty much made a scene. Forcing my food out the window, pointing her finger at my face, so busy trying to close the window on me she didn't here me ask for my nuggets she forgot to give me. If it wasnt for the young man at the register I really would have lost my cool but having the crowd of employees there to witness her actions and agree that I am right, about the frosties was good enough for me at the moment until she cursed at me. I thought the #1 rule in fast food/customer service the customer is always right? Or am I wrong about that? I go to any other participating location in IL, USA I have never had a problem whereas I had to argue with someone about the ICECREAM... I may get a frown or they may smack they lips, I even had someone count them to see if I had 20 tags, but never to the point where I had to yell back...
Read moreIf I had the option, I would not rate this Wendy’s any stars. The lady that took my order was amazing and made my night great! However there was a very rude manager with long hair and I believe an eyebrow piercing. I didn’t get any names but, after ordering I had upgraded my drink and fries to a large and was then given a small. I went back in and got yelled at with a friend for asking to get my rightfully ordered item that I had paid for. He yelled due to the fact that weren’t even supposed to be inside although it was not my fault that the doors were unlocked and it wasn’t clear that the lobby was closed. I was extremely frustrated and shocked that this was what had happened and that a manager had yelled at me and a friend for something we couldn’t control. We were then told to go back into the drive thru and after doing so he said we had to pay again after already paying and not receiving the item we had ordered. And he threw a fit and had an attitude and even yelled at the kind lady that did nothing wrong who took my order. I will not return to this Wendy’s with this horrible service from the manager of all people. Shoutout to the lady that took my order and was extremely nice! I hope she is recognized for this behavior she was working at 10 pm on the 21st of October and...
Read moreI went through the drive through and when I got up to the second window the manager was yelling at an employee. She did not stop when I got there, infact it went on for uncomfortably long. He went to the indoor cash register and when he walked away she called him stupid under her breath. Then she gave me my drink and closed the window, and when my food was ready she opened it half way and gave me my food and said "here". That's absolutely not how you treat your employees, but also to on top of that, to act that way twords a customer who wasn't even involved either. Almost as if she were angry at me for witnessing it (and yet she didn't stop)? I mean... a shocking and bizarre experience. And what makes it even more confusing is the fact that this is typically one of the only fast food locations by my house where I usually have a GOOD experience. There is a man who works the first window and speaks over the drive through speaker, who is ALWAYS extremely friendly so much so that it honestly makes me smile. (Today he was wearing a veteran hat too, so on top of that he's served.) So I don't understand where the disconnect is - when you have good people working there but this is how you decide to communicate with...
