I’ve been a loyal customer at Front Page Brewery, coming every Thursday for bingo, always supporting their business by purchasing drinks from the bar or food from the food truck. However, this last time I came was beyond disappointing.
In the middle of our second bingo game, we were suddenly accused of “loitering” and told to leave because we didn’t have drinks in front of us at that moment. Despite explaining that we regularly buy drinks and even offering to purchase more or cover other customers’ tabs to show our support, we were still forced out. The owner even claimed to have cameras but refused to check them when we asked him to verify our purchases.
It’s baffling that other customers can bring in outside food and drinks without issue, yet we were singled out and kicked out simply for not having a drink in hand at that exact moment and claiming we never bought drinks in the past. If a business hosts a free event to bring people in, they shouldn’t punish paying customers for participating. This experience was frustrating, unfair, and frankly, terrible customer service.
We won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming, customer-friendly...
Read moreI don’t like leaving bad reviews because I like to support local businesses, but this place is NOT family friendly and inclusive as advertised! Over the last 1.5 years we were loyal customers for trivia most weeks, often bringing with us tables of 6-8 people along with buying drinks and food. After a week where we happened to only buy food and drinks from the food truck, which the brewery has on site and allows to sell food and beverages, we were told to leave and not to take up a table if we aren’t buying alcohol. I’m 21 weeks PREGNANT and was there with my 17 year old sister which I communicated was why we had not bought drinks yet. I also explained we had 6 more people coming to join us who would be getting drinks. Owner said chairs were for paying customers and we basically had to buy drinks or give up the table. I asked even if I’m pregnant and can’t drink? Direct quote from owner “Well typically pregnant people don’t come to breweries”. It went back forth like this, but ultimately the situation should have been handled much better. Clearly not inclusive and family friendly. As it is, we’ll be taking our business and large table to a different establishment...
Read moreI was really looking forward to spending time at Front Page Brewing, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. My group and I were there for the first 2 squares of the first round of bingo, enjoying the atmosphere, when we were abruptly told to leave because we hadn’t ordered a drink yet. We fully intended to make a purchase, but the way we were approached felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
What made it worse was the owner accusing us of not buying drinks the previous week, even though we absolutely did. He even claimed to have camera footage of us “loitering,” which was completely unfair—last time, we bought drinks and food from the food truck they had on-site. Instead of treating paying customers with respect, we were made to feel like we were doing something wrong.
I understand that businesses need to make sales, but there’s a right way to handle these situations. Instead of assumptions and accusations, a simple friendly reminder or check-in from staff would have made all the difference. OR EVEN HANDED A MENU?? Unfortunately, the way this was handled has made me not...
