If you would like to have a lovely evening eating either Vietnamese or Thai food I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant! Maybe try best Thai Restaurant II which is located fairly close by.
We ordered spicy Pad Thai, Bahn Mi sandwich and a Thai salad.
The Pad Thai was very sweet and not spice at all as we had ordered .Having ordered Pad Thai in countries all over the world including Thailand on numerous occasions it was very unimpressing with an unusual taste. As far as the sandwich one of the things that is most important in a Bahn Mi sandwich is the baguette which should be fresh and crispy, however, it was not. It also normally comes with a spicy mayo like sauce which was also lacking. Overall, the food was mediocre but not terrible.
The worst part of oir experience occurred when we were given the bill. We hadn't even started eating our sandwiches and were still eating salad when when we were approached by our waitress, who said, "Are you finished? Would you like me to bring the bill?" Looking up with food still in our mouths and the untouched sandwiches on our plates, "We replied not yet. ; however, our bill was brought to us anyway.
We waited to review the bill and pay until we were finished eating. At that time, we noticed that we had been charged $23 for Pad Thai , when in fact , it should have been $17.95 for the mixed seafood. Additionally, there was a charge of $1 for added jalapenos on the Bahn Mi sandwich even though we didn't ask for jalapenos on any of our food.
We asked afterwards about the discrepancies on the bill, and instead of being agreeable the waitress was combative and turned into an argument about what we had ordered.
We normally eat out a couple days a week and fortunately, have not had such a poor overall experience in recent years.
I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you want to enjoy a nice dinner.

Read moreWe love this place !!! This is one the BEST restaurants in coastal Maine. My boyfriend and I always come here for a special meal together, driving hours out of our way. The food is incredibly fresh, good quality, and the service is just wonderful. They are always so kind. We always get the Tai Phô, which is the traditional Vietnamese beef noodle soup made with bone broth, rare steak, bean sprouts, basil, and rice noodles. If you haven’t had phô yet, you’re missing out on one of the most healing and magical foods on the planet. It is light, aromatic, fresh, savory, and complex. Great for a cold day, it will actually heal your soul. We also get the banh mi and dumplings to share, and it’s truly such good comfort food. The prices you can’t beat— honestly everything mid coast can be so expensive, but this place is not, and the incredible quality and flavor you receive is just always so worth it. Thank you, Red Envelope, for always being...
Read moreEvery single time we’ve gone here it’s nothing but the best service, BEST food, and very consistent! Not to mention the first experience we had here, they were able to tell us what my son could, and could not eat because of his dairy allergy. It’s hard to find places that will actually go the extra mile to find what he can have! They know us by name and not just because we go there often! The food is absolutely delicious, and worth every penny! Every server I’ve ever met in this beautiful establishment has been very kind and on top of it! This family owned business is absolutely amazing and I 1000% recommend it❤️ we NEVER had bad tasting food from here! Not to mention, the portions are phenomenal! I would be devastated if this place ever went out of business(which I highly doubt would happened, considering how great they are) but they deserve all the business in the world!! Love always -Hunter...
