Like all truly manly endeavors, Kennebec Meat Company will make you better, stronger and faster. I had posted an ad on Craigslist looking for an adventurer to put an end to the dragon terrorizing my village in Woolwich. Patrick, head butcher at KMC, arrived forthwith, whatever that means, carrying nothing but a 6" boning knife and six pack of Coors Light. After choking the dragon out with what he called "gogoplata", he skinned it, gutted it, and pulled out the backstraps with his mind. He charged the village $47 in gold and delivered shrink-wrapped steaks of the finest cut 31.7 minutes later. After eating the meat, I discovered changes in my appearance and physique. I could suddenly deadlift 13000 pounds and maidens swooned when they beheld my new, stout jaw. Speaking of Maidens, every last virgin in our lovely village is now with child just from being in Patrick's presence. Splendid! We've begun celebrating Saint Tweedie day every July 14th in his honor. Absolute powerhouse. Top quality meat, whether fresh or frozen. Incredible in-house creations (don't sleep on the Dumpling Sasuage or the carnitas, the meatballs are fantastic as well). The grocery section you didn't know you needed but can't live without- from imported snacks and chips, to specialty soy sauce and mustards, you can find top-quality goods you normally would have to go to a world grocery in a larger city to find, AND the team actually knows about what they have stocked with personal experience (shout out to Brian). The beer selection is the best around, and you will find some limited releases not everyone will have access to. The burgers have gotten a lot of attention- and they live up to all the rave reviews (as I finish a double while writing this), but don't let those delicious smash burgers distract you from the goldmine of goods on every shelf. Visit, order a double smash burger (Saturdays only), grab a cold 4 or 6 pack, a bag of chips from somewhere in Thailand with flavors you've never had, and stock up on the goods to take your cooking to the next level. The atmosphere was super laid back as soon as I walked in. The owners were EXTREMELY thoughtful and helpful with any questions I had. They seem like wonderful people and have great energy about them. The space inside had a nice modern eclectic look to it, almost rustic but not quite, which I loved! I also was quite keen on the painted brick on the exterior, it brings such a nice colorful textured vibe and an ambience that is both elegant and homey. The prices are wonderful for the products. They have a huge variety of different cuts of meat and I was excited to see hot sauce as well as BBQ sauces and wine!
