This place is a GEM!!! We saw a show in the smaller annex space, so I can only comment on that room and not the larger venue. We drove up from Rhode Island because one of our favorite musicians was playing a show here, and we had no idea what to expect.
What we found was an intimate lower level room with about 50 seats. I was thrilled about this since we got to be up close and personal with some amazing artists! The vibe could not have been sweeter. The director introduced the show with coffee mug in hand. The snack bar served cookies and fresh popcorn. The very young theatre kids hung out throughout the show and helped sell waters and sodas.
The acoustics of the room were AMAZING and the director opened up the doors so that we could enjoy the sea breeze. I've seen both artists multiple times, and they've never sounded better.
The space is absolutely soaked in love and you can feel it. I couldn't stop smiling. Director Matt and his crew have something really really special going on here. Check them out, support them, get on their list. Maine is so lucky to have this...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Beautiful architecture, but it's what their contributing to the community that is so impressive. An art center that is globally connected for children and adults. They use the arts to bring the community together and to get children involved and engaged. It was so heart warming to be welcomed in and given a tour as 'unknowns'. The spirit of openess artistic endeavors with Loving goals needs to be seen, shared and supported....
