Smooth Jazz. Delicious Food. Amazing & Fast Service.
From the moment I walked in I was already happy about my decision. They had some nice smooth jazz playing that wasn’t too loud, but not so soft you couldn’t hear it. Perfect background music for a delicious breakfast.
It’s their grand opening, so they have bundles of menus all over the counter. I won’t hold that clutter against them seeing as they’re a new business hoping to get their name out with ever new customer.
I ordered a bacon, egg, & cheese croissant sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered an iced mocha. While mocha is listed on the menu, iced didn’t show as an option but I asked and they were happy to oblige. My total was $12.38
They also have 3 vending machines full of sodas, milks, energy drinks, & juices.
The building used to be a bank and they make wonderful use of the drive through as an option for both ordering and pick up. They didn’t tear any of the walls for the old offices down either, which makes for a cute little gathering room for eating in if you come with friends/family!
The one detractor, that I won’t hold against them for the review, was that the A/C I believe must have been out because they had numerous fans all around the lobby to try and keep the place cool. Things like this happen and it’s not necessarily their fault. It’s also ridiculously expensive to fix an A/C like this especially for a new business. Could also have been that this heat is just too much for the A/C to keep the place cool enough regardless so they are using the fans to help with airflow. Either way, I applaud the effort to make their customers comfortable!
Wonderful place and I will be returning...
Read moreThere was a google review someone wrote that called this place a hidden gem, and they were 100% right!! I came here with my partner for an impromptu little brunch date when we were craving burgers. Now you’re probably thinking what the helly, this is a donut shop. Inside of what used to be a bank. Sure, kinda weird that a donut shop sells burgers on the side in an unusual building, but omg LISTEN. Their burgers were BUSSIN 🔥 They aren’t your typical fast-food overly greasy burgers that stain the paper bag and make you feel gross after, this was crafted with actual care and love by the cook in the back. Perfect amount of everything in it. Beautiful presentation. Crispy bun, fresh veggies. Everything that I like personally in my burgers because I have a sensitive stomach (fellow IBS warrior stand up). It took a while for our order to come out so we were sitting for a hot minute listening to some catchy bossa nova at our table in the front, but that first juicy bite was worth every minute. They even gave us two complimentary glazed donuts on our tray because of the wait, so incredibly sweet of them. They didn’t have to do that, but they did! Made us feel very cared for. 🩷 (PLUS, those donuts were so scrumptious too, the perfect sweet treat after a savory meal yumyumyum) If you’re on the fence about going here, stop whatever you’re doing and go see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!! :))) I love this cute lil hidden gem so much, I WILL BE BACK FOR...
Read moreWell my son has started to become a "finder" of good food. Baton Rouge has missed having a great donut shop that also has a great atmosphere to sit down, read the newspapers, drink coffee or cold milk and eat the now, best donuts in town. Most everyone in town remembers the Sherwood Forest Hancock Whitney branch location, (at the coner of Afton Oaks entrance and South Sherwood Forest). Well the folks here at "Donuts Coffee & Burgers" has done everyone in this part of town proud. Not only are the donuts, apple fritters, bear claws, and donut holes some of the best BTR has had to offer in years, the shop is a great place to just come in and relax. I am being told by those who love a great cup of coffee, they do pretty well on the coffee as well. Next time I update this review, I will try to have pictures of their delectable sweets. You have got to try their chocolate covered donuts, the chocolate is fantastic. But my favorite, the apple fritters, go quickly and I am hoping they will make more on weekend mornings. Try it, my last dozen cost me, with taxes, about $14, and was well worth it. My grandkids eat them up before the old folks in...
