Eloise Market and Cakery — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

So my review was 3.75 and here is why… I booked for me and my two daughters but only one was able to attend. We arrived 25 mins early and went inside their were maybe 8 more people inside already , the initial person of contact ( young girl with dark hair ) greeted us and said you can sit across from each other or side by side but don’t skip seats. My daughter and I chose the last table to the back so I can sit close to the instructor, about 5 mins later another couple came and sat at the end of the table since they were waiting on 2 others to show up. Around 12:40 2 women come in and said they have a table of 7 , the girl that greeted us originally tells me and my daughter to move so the ( late comers can sit together ) I was flabbergasted and lost for words, embarrassing and my daughter and I moved to another table that was holding a seat and so we moved again, my daughter said Mom I just want to go, she said she felt like we had purchased the nose bleed seats and tried to sit in the reserved section (smh) . I made a choice to not the late comers or the young lady that I found out was just the assistant.

Now when Maggie ( THE OWNER ) begin the session it was an awesome experience and we were both glad we stayed ! If the top experience never happened , I would give Maggie and the event a 10/10… and yes I would do it again ! She’s relocating and I look forward to see what she has to offer.

So I can’t just leave a complaint without a suggestion to clear the complaint:

I suggest maybe assigning seats when people register so you know who’s sitting where and people can just come in and find their name or number. And/Or let larger parties know early that they need to arrive with their group if possible to be seated together so the experience is comfortable for everyone.

Now on another note… The King Cakes are so good...

Ordered a shortie cake for my son’s 6th birthday. I was extremely disappointed…cake was decorated with all blue icing and a printed picture on top. I gave a simple description to leave decoration of the cake open for creativity of the baker…what I got seemed like there was not much thought put into it. The most disappointing part was the cake itself. The cake was cut uneven and had about 2 inches of buttercream in the middle to buff it up. The cake was extremely dry (see photos). I think majority of the Goggle reviews are from the king cakes and the cake decorating class because the product I got was not very good; definitely not worth $40+. Also please note that the shortie cake is a 6 inch cake cut into 2 slices and tons of buttercream in the middle to give it height. It would be helpful to have actual sizes of the cake listed in the description on...

I found this place looking for somewhere to get affordable cake pops and macaroons for my daughter's 13th birthday.. The price was great so I ordered a dozen macaroons and 2 dozen cake pops THE DAY BEFORE THE PARTY!! After I picked up her cake from another baker about 45 min away I headed to Eloise Market to pick up my order. When I got there I realized the expensive cake I'd gotten wasn't sitting properly in my car for the ride and the bottom got pretty messed up😫😫 I was so upset and asked if there was anything they could do to fix it! Not only did she fix the cake perfectly like it was never damaged and put it on a new board for me good as new but the cake pops and macaroons were absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations! I'm so happy I chose this place and will absolutely go back again. THANK YOU so much Eloise Market...
