I recently had breakfast at a wonderful place in Zeeland that I can highly recommend to everyone. The classic American breakfast dishes were delicious and the staff really went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs as a Muslim. They made sure that there was no cross-contamination with non-halal items, which was very reassuring. The breakfast menu had a great variety of options, from pancakes and eggs to bacon and sausage. I tried the spinach omelette and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My family had the pancakes, and they were fluffy and filling. What impressed me the most was the level of care that the staff showed towards their customers. They took the time to explain the dietary options and made sure that we felt comfortable with our choices. Overall, I would highly recommend this breakfast place to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. The fact that they go out of their way to accommodate Muslim dietary needs is a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast experience!

This was my first time at Zeeland Street restaurant. Saw the write up in the 225 magazine and had to check it out. For now they are only open for breakfast and lunch, their evening seatings under the name 'Beloved' are on hold. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the white beans over rice with a side order of potato salad and cornbread dressing. Everything was delicious. They also had on their daily specials a pot roast that I saw someone in nearby table enjoying thoroughly, plan on going back to try that sometime soon. The cornbread dressing had a little spicy bite to it, but still mild. The potato salad was definitely homemade tasting and creamy...yum. The white beans themselves were not heavily seasoned, but they had a wonderful flavor and were very creamy. The cornbread muffin was a nice little addition.

I liked the restaurant atmosphere with big windows and natural light, lots of space and bright colors. A good number of menu choices. My to go lunch selections were generous in size but all seemed watered down in taste and texture (and only 1 shrimp & 1 crab piece in my gumbo). I wish I had added some seasoning salt and hot sauce. I think the cornbread and red beans with sausage were the best among the items that I tried. The greens weren't good.

Well unfortunately my party of 2 showed up at 12:05pm today Friday, 10-11-24 for lunch like we would on any given day and were told by the cashier/hostess that the 2 nice ladies in front of me were the last order of the day & she wasn’t able to take any more orders today for dining in the restaurant or to go orders, mind you this is at 12:05pm at the beginning of lunch hour break. But a few moments later that changed to, well, if you really want to eat here, you’ll have to wait a long time because we are really backed up. I looked around & the dining room was 3/4s at best full, plenty tables were available. Well we decided to leave as did the people behind us & head to Phil’s Oyster Bar. I hate for the owners that this is what the public & guests see. I know Zeeland can do better than this. The staff was polite, but couldn’t serve us at 12:05pm on a Friday Lunch Day. I hope my review helps you guys get it together. Y’all have enjoyed a...

I didn’t travel from Texas just to eat a burger or Mexican food in Baton Rogue, LA! You come here you find that local eatery and enjoy a good meal. I knew this place was worth it when I couldn’t find a parking spot. I was craving for some soul/southern food and this place does not disappoint. The menu was varied with different meals such as poor boys and select fresh seafood. I ended up with the Red Beans and Rice platter with sausage added to it for an extra $2. The plate came with mustard greens, mashed sweet potato, and corn bread. With sweet tea to drink my meal came to about $14. Well worth the price. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it felt like I was at home. The people, both serving and eating were very nice and pleasant. If you are ever in Baton Rogue and craving some local foods, this is the...
