I left this place highly disappointed and very underwhelmed. Since my mom and I were in the Baton Rouge area, we decided to try King Kong since we heard good things about the place… sadly the hype didn’t match our experience. For starters, the guy who took our order gave off an attitude before we even said anything and looked like he didn’t even wanna be there. When we ordered, he didn’t even ask about what type of toppings or sweetness levels we wanted like any typical boba shop would do. When he gave us our order, he didn’t even say anything or gave us the utensils we needed for our order. Basically horrible customer service skills.

Now for our order. For the drinks, we got their Mangonada ($7.40) and their House Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($7.30). For the food, we got their Coconut Snails ($18.95) and their SautĆ©ed Scallops ($19.99). The food was very mid and overpriced for the quality. Portions were so small and the taste of everything was nothing special. The brown sugar milk tea lacked any brown sugar taste and was so bland. The Mangonada drink was okay, but it didn’t even come with the Chamoy covered straw as advertised.

One upside is that the inside decor is nice and clean with a trendy murial, but that is the ONLY upside. I hate brining down family-owned shops like this one, as I can understand the hardships that they go through, but my experience here was so awful that I had no choice. Rude service? Mid quality food and drinks? Overpriced? I’m sorry, but until they change things for the better I would not...

This’s my third time coming back. I have crispy chicken with yellow rice for my lunch, the wait is a little bit long but it’s worth it. I received the food was so good šŸ‘šŸ‘ First time I tried House special eggrolls, it has shrimp pork and veggies which I have never ate before. Actually I did tried a lot of egg rolls but it only have a little meat and a lot veggies inside. Second time coming back with Korean popcorn chicken, I was addicted to the pink sauce which made by KingKong. It’s not the same sauce from the other restaurant. I can’t explain but it was sweet and creamy and a little bit spicy. I’m so silly but I really wanna know what did they put in there 🤤 The staff was nice. The thing I don’t like about this place that I need to wait but I will call and order to pick up next time so I don’t have to wait when I’m really starving after long day at work šŸ˜„ Hightlight...

First time we came here there were no issues and the tea was good, however they’re on the sweet side. It was no problem though because we just adjusted the sugar level.

The second time we were here we had to wait 1 hour for 4 drinks. There were only 2 people working there with 1 at the cashier and 1 doing the drink. We got a vietnamese coffee thats 50% sugar and it was STILL too sweet. Granted they were seemingly understaffed but seriously? They didn’t give us a wait estimate either we were just sitting there waiting.

Third and final time we will be going there, they got our order wrong. We asked for less ice and they gave us no ice. That’s fine, but apparently with no ice they only leave the cup 3/4th of the way filled. That’s such a scam for a drink that’s 5.55$. Asked them to add ice and it still came out 1/4th of the way filled. Disappointed and...

I’ve been twice, once take away and once to sit and try some of the food. The grilled clams were awesome-spicy, salty, sweet, sour, interesting and a good value! I’ll def be back to try more food! Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee were v good. Their boba is a nice texture. The decor is very cute. Modern chairs, wood tables, and gold accents. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. I can’t wait for their freshly made bread sandwiches to be available( once they get their bread machine set up!) I know this place will be a new favorite!
