EDIT- so happy to hear that this was just an error in their system because I was excited to tell all my friends about this place!
Luna team- Thank you for the prompt response and fantastic customer service! No need for a refund, please just give the difference to our waitress as an additional tip, she was very helpful.

I would have loved to give this new local small business a 5 star review, because the food was delicious, the atmosphere upstairs was incredible, and the servers were so attentive and kind.
However, everyone needs to be aware that they are charging a 8.5% processing fee in order to pay with a credit card. My friends and I each got the 3 taco plate that was priced at $24 on the menu. When we got the check, it was priced at $26.04.
When we asked about, we were told that it was the credit card processing fee, and that it was very common for restaurants in the area to do this. Which typically is fine, but 1) I did not see that posted on the menu and 2) a typical credit card processing fee is nowhere near 8.5%.
I honestly feel bad for the staff because they are probably going to have people question them on this regularly when it’s not even their fault.
To the owners- I would love to change this to a five star review if you could explain why the processing fee was that high. And if your processor is charging you that much….why did you go with them?
I know it was only $2 but honestly the principle of it just got to me. That feels shady towards your customers.
Anyways, incredible experience otherwise!!...
Read moreTried Luna Cocina for the first time today and as someone who has seen business after business come and go from this location I’m happy to say that this place has potential to stick around. Upon arrival you can tell a lot of time, love and money went in to getting this place to look the way it needs to be. The interior and the upstairs patio where I sat were nice and clean, even after the craziness of the St. Patties day parade.
At any Mexican/Tex-Mex/Fusion type restaurant I always get a classic margarita to deem the cocktail program acceptable or not. These folks passed the test. A marg is a simple drink but it’s very telling to the culture of a bar program if they can make a solid marg.
Martin took good care of me and gave me a solid recommendation on the food that I ordered. The Carne Asada tacos are a filling and tasty meal. Depending on your appetite you could even share them.
My only nitpicky critiques could be music choice, they were playing some old jams which aren’t bad by any stretch, but I feel like this place could do with some chill house music or something because it has that fun vibe to it. And the bean dip that came with my tacos could use a little extra oomf to its flavor.
All in all I was very pleased with my visit. And before gratuity my bill was $36 dollars. That’s a Marg on the rocks, a corona and the carne asada tacos so if you plan on coming in on your lunch break from work it’ll probably be a bit cheaper with no booze haha. I will be sure to come back for dinner time.
Don’t forget to tip...
Read moreLuna Cocina is where the highlight was… the bathroom. A beautifully ornamented sink against deep red walls set expectations that the rest of the restaurant couldn’t meet.
The service was kind but sluggish. After dropping off some chips and what tasted like Walmart red sauce, the waiter vanished for about 20 minutes. I hadn’t even ordered yet.
The food? Disappointing. $19 for overly salty, tasteless tacos—generous in size but not in flavor. Bagged shredded cheese, overripe guacamole, soggy refried beans. The bad is there.
What could they do better? Start by making tortillas in-house. Turn those into chips. Offer a real salsa selection—red, green, guajillo, habanero—made from scratch. It’s what sets apart a memorable cocina from the sea of mediocrity.
A catchy name won’t launch them to the moon. Luna Cocina has a long journey if it wants to offer warmth and flavor worth remembering.
I might give them a second chance—for the cocktails—once the sadness in my mouth and...
