McDonald's — Restaurant in Battle Creek

This was originally written around two years ago. I was just back and brought my burger to the counter to because they should have had extra onions and they had basically none. I've worked in the food industry for over 10 years idc that the burgers didn't have onions that's a fixable mistake. The issue is the manager took them from me and placed them on the line to have my onions added. That is a huge health code violation. That's disgusting to put food that has reached the public back on the line when you're supposed to maintain a sanitized work station. They never add extra pickles unless I take my order back and point out that I asked for them. Recently they told me it would be a few moments to get my food. I guess they needed to make sure to give me the two oldest dryest burger patties they could find, and the most dried out/chewy spicy mcchicken patty I've ever seen. Done giving this place business, tired of having to drive back because half the topping were outside my sandwich. I'm not asking for a lot, just food I can actually enjoy. Edit: 2024 they still can't put extra onions or pickles on burgers. Management here is seemingly terrible. I have not seen a worse McDonald's in my life. Edit: Sept 2025, I wanted a quick burger today and check the app to see if I could grab something cheap and give my closest McDonald's another shot. For the first time in 3-4 years I didn't feel like I was getting punished for getting an online deal. I'm guessing management has started to make sure food is getting put together made reasonably even if it's lunch rush and it's just a mcdouble. Which I greatly appreciate and will probably come back more often now. I'm glad to have a McDonald's that I can feel good about...

This location has got some issues. The staff acted like they didn't know what they were doing. One example was I went thru the drive thru and TWICE they were gonna give me somebody else's food without asking what I had ordered. And also when I dined in last week, they seemed like they forgot about my order because I was sitting there at my table watching multiple people that came after me get their food before I did and they were dining in also. All I ordered was a big Mac and fry so how long does it take to make that? Not very long compared to a family of 4 people's order. And you call this "fast food"? Plus after waiting for almost 15 minutes for my food I got up to go up to the counter to see what was going on and mind you the person that took my order knew what I looked like and what I had ordered, and when I got up to the counter they had my food in their hands and ignored me standing there and walked all the way to my table to where my number was at and dropped off my food and took the table number. As they walked past me I said "thank you" and without even looking at me at all with no friendly respectful customer service attitude they said "welcome" like they were mad at me. Plus multiple times I had recently went to this location they don't EVER have anyone wiping down the tables or cleaning them cause there would be food all over the table and seats and the booths have been smell like really bad body order. And also they NEVER clean the drinking fountain area! There is always spilled pop, straw wrappers not thrown away, lids for cups laying around, and ketchup from the dispenser smeared all...

Cleanliness and service are great but quality control is suffering a bit lately. It seems that the last few months we use the drive through the order is always incorrect.

Since we have been having issues we stayed at the window after they handed our food to count our items and to make sure that the order was correct. All sandwiches drink's, fries and condiments were in the bag as ordered so we drove off.

It wasn't until we got home that we found that the sandwiches we're not made to order as requested. They have the grill slip attached to the sandwiches that said extra pickle however there wasn't a single pickle on the sandwiches that we received. Normally I do not complain but since this has happened so many times in the last 2 months it was time to update my review.

It's not hard to get back up to a four star rating. All you will need to do is make sure thise orders go out correctly. Take a little extra time and double check the order before you hand it to the customer.
