Very rude and racist woman up front, probably even the owner? I am a Hispanic-woman. I own a smoothie shop and this is not the way you treat people. Here is my experience: This was my first time here, I wanted to have a relaxing morning, drink coffee and eat a crepe. I entered the shop and the moment this lady upfront saw me she looked at me so disgusted. I was like ok, maybe thatâs how she naturally look at everyone. I asked for a cappuccino, she asked if I wanted it sweet or unsweetened. I said sweet, then she asked what sweetener I wanted, then I looked all confused at the menu trying to find my options and she got all rude for no reason! She threw a menu at the counter and said âwell you need to have a flavor if you want it sweetâ all in a very rude manner. At this point I wanted to leave but I told to my self that this lady with a sad life was not going to ruin my morning. I wanted to order a crepe too but as soon as I chose the coffee flavor she said the total and preceded me to check out. I was like, ok, thatâs it then. I sat down and another customer came in (He was an American man) She was totally ridiculous different at the moment she started to take this gentlemanâs order. She even smiled and treated him so nicely. I thought to myself well⌠he is probably someone she knows, and surprise!! he also said it was his first time here. Then this other couple entered the place and same history, she was the nicest person to them. She even went to their table to chat with them. But I, I would get this looks from her like she wanted me to leave. The way I got treated was so unfair. What was it? What did I ever do to you? Was it because I am Hispanic? Was this a racial matter or are you selective with your costumers? I am never going to come back to this place in my life nor ever recommend it to my relatives, no one wants to get...
Read moreWent in with my two kids (ages 3 and 16 months) because they wanted hot chocolate and a snack. When we walked in the barista looked visibly upset and while my kids were picking out chips for their snack the barista told me that the chips were to go because of the mess kids make, I told her I was planning on eating them there with my kids and asked if it was a kid friendly establishment, she responded with âitâs kid friendly but you need to pick up after your kids because I donât have time to pick up after themâ I responded with âwell yes, Iâm a mom and I know to pick up after my children and I know what they can handle as far as messes go. I pick up after my children wherever I go.â Her response was rude, snappy and had a lot of attitude as she said âif you can handle it, you can stayâ all while glaring at me and my children. If itâs not kid friendly, thatâs one thing but saying itâs kid friendly and then treated customers with disrespect for bringing their children in makes a mom feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have kids. We bought our chips and...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to agree with many low rate reviews as today experience was the worse experience I had in customer service area for a long long time. My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a cup of coffee and seasonal pastry today. We came to the cafÊ Blu Castle for the first time to explore the options. The lady at the counter was super rude and it seemed that she had some kind of a bad day. I tried to reach to her with a smile and a joke, she just snapped back. Very mean and ignorant. I usually don't give bad reviews and would leave this issue alone, however my friend was visiting me from another country and I wanted to show her the best of Battle Ground Village (as I had only great experiences with other businesses there: the restaurants and library are amazing). So my attempt turned out to be a disaster. I would not recommend to anyone to come there, and especially if you have a good day, save your time...
