Oh my my! The food here is incredible. First though, Rich, the owner is awesome! Friendly, great service and a pleasure to be around. I was able to try the ribs, pulled pork and tri-tip. The meat is perfectly seasoned. So much so that he doesn't even need BBQ sauce! I also had the baked beans and they had a nice smoked flavor while not overly sweet like many places do with the baked beans. I can't recommend this place highly enough. On our way home from work we stopped at the food carts wanting a gyro. All that changed once I spotted THE PIT. I ordered the pulled pork with baked beans and my husband ordered the tri tip with corn on the cob. We got to try a sample of his delicious ribs too. We were just lamenting the closing of Shelby's. This was a happy accident and the best one we've ever had. We will be returning soon. Thank you for bringing fantastic BBQ to Washougal. Don't ever leave. We'll stalk you.

I might have gotten here on a bad day. I asked a few questions about the pulled pork vs. tri-tip and was told to order what I wanted. Unfortunately, mine was not hot (temperature), and the corn on the cob was not only a very small cut it was well over cooked. My wife enjoyed her chicken sandwich but I found it lacking flavor.
