Michigan Cream & Sugar Uptown Bay City — Restaurant in Bay City

I’m never one to complain but today I had a bad experience at one of my favorite ice cream shops. Me and my fiancé went to Michigan Cream & Sugar Ice Cream Company at 12:09pm we usually go there because of their great job at keeping ice creams free from cross contamination and easy to ask about ingredients. We got a single scoop of matcha love when we asked for three scoops so I went back and got a pint. There was a major issue with cross contamination and having nut and cinnamon allergies it makes it hard to shop at sweet places. So this was a major problem and concern. As we were getting served ice creams were splashed into other containers.

Usually I love going there because of their great staff and service but today felt like a scam.

We are now too scared to eat what we bought due to the risk of cross contamination.

We were also not greeted by the staff she just kind of stood there and stared. It was a huge coldness that we usually don’t receive.

Just happened to be in the area and stopped in before we eat dinner at the place across the street. Have to say it was pleasantly surprised by how clean the inside was and actually how warm it was in there. The menu on the wall was clear and easy to read and all of the flavors in front of me were labeled and all looked extraordinary. Decide to go with the bananas Foster and the pumpkin s'mores scoop...

Ice cream had a great taste to it was rich and didn't have anything that tasted fake or not real. You could easily taste the chunks of graham cracker in the pumpkin s'mores and the little bits of marshmallow and chocolate... Same goes for the bananas foster had a really good not fake banana flavor along with the cream that goes along with it.

Best part was the price it was very reasonably priced and worth the money will return again next time we are...

We tried for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! However, afterward noticing that what was charged to our account for payment was more than what we had purchased that evening. I called and left a message to try to get it straightened out and never received a call back. I certainly recommend their ice cream but be mindful of the charges as they are ringing you up to avoid being overcharged. 😊

After some time I did receive a refund to my bank about! I did not have a phone call but did know that after seeing the refund I did want to come back to my review and make an edit stating that I was refunded!
