So we are from out of town and we’ve been to this location before when we come to town to visit family. And usually our experience here is pretty good. So before we drive home we wanted to get a coffee for the road. When we walked in a worker, I’m assuming and hoping just a barista and not management walks to the front with dishes in her hands. And I said oh I’m sorry are you guys closed and she said ā€œwell we close at 8 but the espresso machines are still onā€ and so I said oh okay great (I’ve worked as a barista before I know how annoying it can be to service 5-10 min before closing so i understand the annoyance. But we walked in a little before 7:30. Annoying yes but you push through because this is a customer service field you’re working in) as she goes to put down the dishes she lets out a huge sigh and she said okayy. While rolling her eyes at us. Completely rude and uncalled for. There was 7 of us but only 2 of us were getting anything. Just put us off and we said out loud never mind and she said it’s fine you can order and my sister was like no it’s fine we just saw your reaction and we don’t want to give you our business.

All this to say. I hope this is probably a one off situation and I understand the annoyance but as many of us who worked in customer service we push through serve and go on about our day....

Live Oak Coffeehouse in Bay City is a solid spot to grab a coffee, but be wary of their flavored creations. The atmosphere is inviting, with a modern yet cozy feel. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is generally quick.

My cold brew was smooth and flavorful, clearly well-made. Live Oak definitely knows their coffee. The space is bright and airy with plenty of seating. It's a great place to catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just enjoy a quiet moment. The baristas were knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

While the cold brew itself was good, the s'mores flavoring was far too strong. It completely overwhelmed the coffee and tasted more like chocolate milk. They have a few pastries and snacks, but the food menu is a bit small.

Live Oak Coffeehouse is a decent choice for coffee in the Bay City area. Stick to the basic coffee options for the best experience. While the food options could be expanded and the flavored drinks need some balancing, the quality of the coffee itself and the atmosphere make it...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Live Oak for a long time and have always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. However, I had a disappointing experience at the Bay City location recently. I stopped in about two hours before closing to get some work done, but it felt like the staff was already trying to wind down for the night. An employee began vacuuming right after we sat down, repeatedly adjusted the lights from bright to dim, and turned the music up so loud it became nearly impossible to concentrate. She also made comments about customers making the floors dirty after she had vacuumed and seemed visibly frustrated that we were there. To top it off, she loudly announced that all closing tasks were finished—well before closing time, hinting it was time for us to leave.

While I’ve never encountered this kind of treatment at other Live Oak locations, this experience left a bad impression. It’s unfortunate, especially since this location is the most convenient for me. I hope this feedback helps improve the closing experience for...

What a great little coffee shop. I ordered an almond milk macchiato. It was delicious. The presentation of the macchiato was average, so I wanted to test out the flavor of the cortado. I ordered a cortado with the unsweetened almond milk. The flavor of the cortado was perfect. The presentation was average. I usually look for a beautiful presentation, but as long as the flavor is amazing, I'm OK with it They have some baked goods here. They offer several different types of muffins and cookies. They also sell bags of whole bean coffee, honey, etc. The staff was amazing. The woman that waited on me was very kind, helpful and friendly. I like the message this coffee shop is sending to. They sell some shirts that are basically about being a kind person and a good human. I love that message. This was a great little find. They lose one star for presentation.

My girlfriend lives just a mile down the road from this cute little coffee shop. Our very first time trying them out, and I've got to say, we were both extremely underwhelmed. The staff were young and gave the impression that they did not want to be there. The woman who took our order looked visibly annoyed the entire time. And when we got our coffee, it was nothing like what we had in mind. My girlfriend got the winter special "Snowball", which includes chocolate, caramel, and coconut syrup. Both of us agree it tastes like an average, bitter cup of coffee. No flavor whatever. I ordered a brown sugar hot cocoa, very basic flavor, can hardly tell there's any brown sugar. Not to mention both of our "HOT" drinks were just above luke warm. I'm extremely disappointed, and we will most likely not be coming back for seconds.

Very aesthetic and cozy coffee shop. They have a satisfying and reasonably priced coffee, and I enjoyed the homemade oat bars. The name of the cafe, as confirmed by the barista, is based on the live oak trees you see in the Carolinas, which have big beautiful limbs that spread far and wide create big canopies. I used to live in Wilmington, NC so this reminded me of my prior home. The inside reflects the name by having a lot greenery and a variety of comfortable places to sit. Great spot for a Saturday morning pick me up
